Creator of parallel universes, scientist, bookworm, cat lover, and Prince Avok's devoted lover |
Does anyone here have comic book scans of Sven and Romelle in the Devil's Due comic? I am a total shipper for these two, and I want to see how badly they bungled it, therefore potentially alienating female fans. They've already screwed up by making Romelle a REDHEAD, for crying out loud.
Also, have Princes Avok and Bandor gotten so much as a one-panel cameo in the DD comics yet? "Finally, at the end of our wanderings, we return to our tiny, fragile, blue-white world, lost in a cosmic ocean beyond our most courageous imaginings." --Carl Sagan, Cosmos |

Ever seen elves from DragonLance? If so you've seen them
I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it. The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly. |

I don't think I was specific enough. I was hoping for a scan from the Voltron Omnibus to see a picture of the happy (or utterly dysfunctional in this version, perhaps?) couple together.
Svenblue e-mailed me a picture of DD Romelle, and she looks all wrong. She's got green eyes and curly red hair, instead of fairly straight pale blonde hair and indigo-blue eyes as in the anime. Furthermore, I'm not sure if it even WAS Pollux Sven crash-landed onto. Pollux would have been much closer to Arus, and Coran would have said something about it. I have a feeling that this Princess Romelle is somehow NOT the Romelle of the anime, who was a blonde with two brothers (one of whom may be dead or MIA in the Voltron canon and is quite dead in Go-Lion), dressed in frilly girly clothing, and lived on a place called Pollux. The only shot of Romelle is the one Sven sent you. If your looking for a blond Romelle the comic has nothing for you.
As for the distance of Pollux not aligning with the cartoon, I reference the robotic mice. I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it. The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly. |
