*dorkishly happy applause* Thanks, SGB. Needed that. My interest was sparked until I read something about redesigning/updating the characters yet again. Look, the go-go boots and rip-off of Disney ballroom gowns and Pepto pink pukage may be annoying, but every time someone tries to "re-do" the show's characters, there's usually some frightening screw-up that makes me wonder what show people are trying to "update". I'd rather stick with the go-go boots and pink and see a faithful-ish continuation of the story I love than see yet another person who comes across as a total n00b butcher the original into their own little AU. If I want another (most likely horrid) AU I can go to ff.net for free. But hey, admittedly, if this comic proves to not be that kind of thing... I'll be impressed and maybe even grateful.

Princess Of Planet Doom

I can't wait till it comes out. I'll definitely be heading out to the Comic place or Great Escape to get one. I still need to hit Best Buy for that Snoop Dogg CD that just came out. I'll be doing that tomorrow.

Looks like July 30 is the specific release date for the first issue of "Voltron: A Legend Forged". I also found the synopsis for the first issue: quote: When a calamitous twist of fate sends the Voltron team back in time, they become witnesses to history, learning not only the origins of Zarkon's people, but of the Voltron project itself! Kicking off a brand new miniseries, this issue will build an entire new shelf of stories into the chronicles of Voltron!
Found the synopsis here: http://westfieldcomics.com/store.cgi?sc=144671941081193...d=1&mid=4&P=08050793And it looks like there'll be 5 covers for the first issue judging from this pic: http://westfieldcomics.com/cgi-bin/getpic.cgi?Image=2008_05-xx305.jpgFour regular covers and a foiled version of Cover A.

Zarkon's Conscience

|
The covers look diverse. I would like to see their take on the races. I believe in the DD comics there was an Empress who ruled an empire that predated the Drule, and Haggar and Zarkon have Wyvern blood in 'em: wonder if there'll be some racial tension between these such races and the Drule precursor (unless Drules are the direct descendants). As time has passed I've grown more receptive to this new mini-series. Arguing over the Internet is like the Special Olympics: if you win you're still retarded. Click me so I can mutate!

I doubt they'll go into that much, after all they Ax'd the Zarkon backstory 1/2way though. If they do though I'll be buing this thing after all
I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it.
The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly.
