Interesting. It sounds like there's gonna be a time-travel aspect to it if the Voltron Force meets the old guys (unless the knights are immortal or cyborgs or something
I will say that it will be nice to see Stride get a remake. I got a chuckle out of one comment post on that link: someone is really upset about that Omnibus goof. |

Cheez said if I didn't have anything nice to say don't say anything.
Therefore; 'no comment' I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it. The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly. |

Aw, come on Coldwin, you know you wanna say it!
I don't like the idea of time-travelling in Voltron either. |

There's only a couple of cases where time travel is handled well imho; if the "present" Voltron Force goes back with the robot in tow, this may inspire the past to create the robot. Thus Voltron inspires the creation of itself in the time continuum: this plot device has been used before (close to, if not a cliché by now), but done right could add an extra pinch of wow to the Voltron mythos. If Voltron or the Castle of Lions had some AI simulation of the knights stored away as historical information, it would sit better with me a little. One of those pictures shown in an older thread made it look like Arus and the Drules were enemies way back when. Considering the swords and arrows on both sides, I'd like to see how they explain the technology gap from Tolkien to digital/nano-. EDIT: Apparently my eyes deceived me since at the time I could only access the tiny thumbnail. The full image is up again, and the VF gal sports a gun while the Doomites sport old-fashioned axes. Looking at the size of the Doomites, the gun may be the equivalent of using a BB-gun against a grizzly bear...unless, of course, the gun happens to be a Noisy Cricket END of EDIT Time-travel? Maaaggggiiiicccc? Likely a combination thereof. I'll buy the first couple of issues as a test. |
