[b:a3b51e0844]Question:[/b:a3b51e0844] Does the Board have a way to get columns of figures to align correctly? I tried the "list" & list= commands, but couldn't get all columns to align.

most people I think are right when it can be said that a lot of people may have assumed that the Voltron comic series ended at the end of issue 5 of the first book.

Trying to extend it out as long as they did was kinda suicidal.

I've wonderd if DD ever tried to sell the comics over seas or if WEP even tried it? Since WEP seems to be making deals in other counties, why didn't they try to get a deal made for the comics as well, if they weren't sold overseas?

I lot of people also atribute it to the fact that once DDP separated from Image the totals significantly decreased.

I don't think I have ever seen any other DDP titles carry any ads for the Voltron comics either.

I have a few of their GI Joe and GI Joe v. Transformers and I saw no ads promoting Voltron.

Did they want this comic to fail deliberately?

There were a number of factors which led to the comic's demise. One can obviously see that the numbers basically halved when DDP separated from Image. There was little advertising for the book, even on the pages of other DDP books. ANd the fact that the book came out irregularly was a big hit for them. I work for a monthly magazine and I can tell you that on the occassion we come out later than expected, our distribution is not nearly as good that month. With the comic frequently coming out irregularly, they were really shooting themselves in the foot because fans didn't get it when they expected it and then they basically just said "to hell with it" until next month when the cycle would repeat.

The comics WERE sold overseas. Overseas comic book stores had the comic imported to them via Diamond distribution.

The change in art style from E.J. SU to that of ISSUE#11, didn't help either.

Part of the problem was underadvertising. I have people I work with that had NO IDEA that Voltron went beyond the 5th book of the first series. After the split with Image...there as virtually no advertising to attract newer audiences.

Then, I don't know WHAT happened to the art in issues 9-11. The handwriting was on the wall when they took EJ Su off of the project. :?

If E.J. was unavailable, then why couldn't they get the artists from the first story arc?

Well, Clint Hilinski and Mike Norton did work on #9-11, but in different capacities. Hilinski was still doing pencils, but I think he only did incidental stuff. Norton, who seemingly did the bulk of the pencils in Vol 1 #1-5, was doing the graphic designs.

Yeah, she definitely wasn't good.

Anybody else notice how the colors and shape of the crest on Voltron's chest kept changing per issue? Let's see DC do that to Superman's S and see how well the book does.
