I think it would be interesting for fans to create an ending, or to build upon the stories of the DDP book. Is anyone interested?

Sven and Lotor get married, Zarkon has a heart attack from the news and dies, Hagar gets into an epic magic battle with Allura, who morphs into a goddess and transforms her into a gecko. She then exudes a mind control power that purifies the thoughts of all in the Universe so nothing bad ever happens again. The End...nah, just kidding. Consider that an insane freewriting episode. :P


I've thought about it, and there are some cool characters. I would like to see someone develop backstory between Xarnaren and Merla. I would also like to see the Drule King of the First Kingdom get murked by Zeppo, Throk and Company...that would be awesome. They deserved comic time, darn it!!!

I agree, the other Drule leaders should have been given more attention.
I would have the entire Drule Empire declare war on the Galactic Union.
Then have Arus be the focal point of the war.

I'd have POidge wake up at the end of Issue 9 having the rest been a dream and go from there

Yes, the girly headband emphasized the receding hairline nicely...but he obviously had some Rogaine and a teasing comb about.

Yes, in comic land, Lotor wore fuzzy underwear and meditated alot, and Lance wore headbands :twisted:

The page-to-page difference was a bit scary.

But, I do wonder why they didn't have VV Drules. Was that supposed to be saved for another story arc??

The VV Drules probably would have been introduced later, since they only touched upon the the other Drule Kingdoms. Their should have been more interaction between the other Drules and Zarkon. Maybe even a civil war within the Drule Empire.

I started a fan-fic based on that premise. That and the added idea of a contraband source that GG has to deal with (Enhanced Lazon) made by the VV Drules and utilized by the LV drules until the civil war when the VV drules go for revolution against Zarkon.

I wonder if I should pitch this idea to WEP... I have plenty more that they can utilize too. I also wonder if the person in charge reads the boards?

It's a cool idea. Personally, the VV Drules always came across to me as being the dominant type, and Zarkon's kingdom was sort of a distant territory, and they didn't like him too much and looked down on Doom. I recall an LV ep where Zarkon said he was gonna "ask" for support from the Drule proper, but (it was either Hazar or Keezor) pretty much said, "Screw him, he's too busy conquering and plundering without finding planets for OUR people. Let him train his slaves if he needs help." And Emperor ranks higher than king, so I always equated the Doom Kingdom with Britannia and Gaul, and the VV Drules with the Roman Empire proper. That's why their comic omission irks me so; they seemed superior and dominant (am I alone in thinking they always were the dominant race and Z's were spin-offs are decsendants from enslaved worlds?...think European Imperialism of Africa, i.e., South Africa). Any racial angle in the comic would have rocked. A civil war would have been nifty, ViceroyThrok.

I think if we all knew how to pitch ideas, WEP would have plenty of material to rejuvenate Voltron. Of course, if you find a way, lemme know. :wink:

Nope. That's pretty much the theory I go by, too. It also helps to fill in the plothole as to why their looks vary so much.
