None of the above. If there is going to be a comic, I want it to be from DD so they can continue where they left off! We don't need ANOTHER origin story that has nothing to do with the previous comic or anime.

Who said anything about another company not being able to continue where DD left off? But honestly, the way they treated Voltron this time, would you really want to give them a second chance to disappoint you?

[quote:40756e8541="BLACK LION"]Which company should WEP give the rights to produce a Voltron comic, once DDP's contract expires.
DC Marvel Dark Horse...[/quote:40756e8541]
Given the choice, I'D have to pick Marvel. They've done a great job in the past with third party titles. They practically created the G.I. JOE universe.
I really do not have a preference with the three choices above as I do not read comics, except Voltron, so I will just say anyone new is good. I would prefer starting with someone new and starting from scratch. Nothing would be wrong with a different & new story line if it is [b:5d3ad4029e]GOOD[/b:5d3ad4029e]?

There is nothing wrong with starting from scratch. WEP needs to license Voltron to a company that is not dependent on 1 major title (ex. DDP-G.I. JOE). Large companies like Marvel or DC probably would be willing to spend more time investing in a Voltron story.
I suggest a company that truly wants to do Voltron and really wants it to succeed. I don't think DDP really cared if it succeeded or not. If they made their profits, that's great. If they didn't, then it gets canned and is probably a tax write-off somewhere.

Out of the 3 major 80's titles DDP had (Voltron, Micronauts, and G.I. JOE), G.I. JOE is the ONLY one that received any type of advertising. DDP is currently offering all types of promotions ranging from who is the biggest G.I. JOE fan, to offering special promotional packages to comic book stores. Now don't get me wrong, I am a big G.I. JOE fan. I think it's great that the title is getting so much attention. I just wish it wasn't at the expense of Voltron.

Because I foudn everything DD did with Voltron to be quite interesting and refreshing.

Unfortuanately, DDP didn't invest the time or money into Voltron. For further info refer to Issue#11.
I vote for Dark Horse--they seem to be excellent at taking third party titles and making something happen. In the 90's--Aliens, Predator, Robocop--in the new millenium -star wars. It's worth a shot. Third party and also independent author owned creations (grendel, concrete etc.) have always been treated well at dark horse.
