Maybe I missed it, but I only saw an option to pick from one of the avatars listed. Is there a way to link to an offsite avatar or upload one?

Up near the top of the pick an avatar window there's a link to set your own URL. Sorry about the mixup.

Yeah, go to the avatar area on your profile and click on the link at the top of all the pre-uploaded ones that says something like "custom avatar" then input the url where it's located.

I got that to work finally. My sig is a no-go though. Figures

I've tried linking to an offsite avatar twice and both times my browser has crashed. Great, just great. Anyone have any suggestions?

It has to be smaller that 150px by 150px...but your browser shouldn't crash...

no yours are cool but we like to use the ones we made as well.... some changge every now and then to something different... never stick with the same avatar...

As for the avatars you made, jamesdemien, there's nothing wrong with them. Though I admit I was sad to see no Cossack or Merla. Did you just pick from Season One?

I tried linking to an offsite avatar for the third time and browser crashed again. I'm sick of it. I desided to just to with one of the listed avatars. I'm a bit of an emo kid, so I thought I might as well go with this one until I can actually figure out how to link to an offsite avatar without my browswer crashing. Oy.

Um, my avatar got unduly bloated. Figure that out. It's supposed to be 100x100 :lol: Now it's bloated x pixelated.

Cheeze, I did see some season 2 shots of the team (you can tell by how off the color pallette was on their uniforms and ze screen caps look mighty familiar!) so I dunno what the deal is. But at least there's some doom there. Try on no VV at all for size. doh!

p.s. avatar back to normal again now...eh...this board needs a breaking in period or something

And how do you uploaad an avatar from your desktop? I don't have a website to store my pictures for avatar use. Any sites recommended?

I use photobucket or one of my geocities accounts. They are both free but I personally like photobucket better there is less to filter through when managing your files.
