I actually didn't think the comics were all that bad until they started getting on the last few issues. The art started to suck and then they gave up on it. I would rather them go out with a bang than just smolder and.... well, suck, but since they only had one more issue to go, they might as well have finished it.

You're thinking of the Devil's Due comics there. The Modern Comics comic is the 3-issue run from the 80s.

As for which is worse ... I'd say V3D.

Actually you are both technically correct. The comics produced under the Modern Logo were indeed the 3 issue 80s run.

on the other hand the 'modern' comics are the ones made in this day and age.

Since BL didnt specify "The Modern comic line publushed in the 80's" or "The modern comics just made by DDP" either take is valid.

He probably did mean the 80's comics but intent and the literal wording have little to do with each other

Whoops. Yeah, I thought you meant the literal meaning of Modern for a sec. Now I'm feeling a little sheepish.

You are correct. I was referring to the 1985 3 issue series.
Of course DDP 'S version would beat V3D.
As for V3D or Modern Comics (1985)...

I would say V3D as I thought the whole thing was a letdown whereas the comics had several good points and plenty of promise in the beginning.
