Interesting hypothesis. I believe it warrants some consideration.

There was an episode of V3D where there is a flashback of a ship crashing on Arus in which a baby survived. 5 lions (each a different color) raised the child who eventually became the first Queen of Arus. According to this storyline, the Castle of Lions was built by her order in honor of the 5 lions who raised her.

I'm honestly surprised that the last post in this thread was almost a year ago. I figured there were more plot holes than this.

Well, I'll keep it going . . .

The crashed ship/five lions raising Ariella was a dumb subplot. And worse than that - Allura training to be an alliance pilot . . . and she's a small child in pigtails!

Can you say, 'throw the source material out the window'??

The idea probably would have worked if they did it in an alternate, non-canon media. Such as the comics or another show.

What gets me though, is that Marc Handler worked on the original, you'd think he would have made sure the back stories coincided.

I agree with you and AP. But the same thing happened in Season 2 of LV when it referenced Romelle and Allura as children with Alfor.

They probably thought their new storylines were better than the original so they just ignored the original.
