Just an amusing tidbit for you.
After some tinkering my HD-DVD player thanks it lives in Sidney Australia, but is now region free. And the ethernet connection is live, yay online features I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it. The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly. |

LOL!!! What brand and model is your HD DVD player? |

I have a
Toshiba HD-A2 After my Firmware patch it thinks its HD-E1 Same model different country,If you have either I can give you the regionfree firm wear Here ther text blurb HD-A2 FW Ver2.5_patched.iso is a modified firmware for use on the Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player. This firmware adds PAL and region free DVD playback to you machine. Use at your own risk. 1) Make sure you HD-A2 is currently on a pre v2.5 firmware revision 2) Burn the "HD-A2 FW Ver2.5_patched.iso" ISO to a CDR/CDRW - I recomend DeepBurner Free and a fresh CDRW disc 3) Pop disc in HDDVD player and update like normal After the update is complete your HDDVD player will be identified as a HD-E1 (Australian) player, and you should use firmware updates for that region from now on. I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it. The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly. |

My HD DVD player is the Toshiba HD-EP10.
Thanks for the offer but the firmware you used won't work on my HD DVD player as far as I'm aware. Besides, I just made my HD DVD player region free about an hour and a half ago. |

Doesn't it suck to have to hack your equipment to view discs you legally own

You do realize 1/2 the board has no idea what we're talking about, and the other 1/2 thinks its something illegal?

I know it's not illegal to sell region-free players in the US, but nobody does anyway. I bought a brand that's easy to hack and it doesn't void the warranty. I had to do some research to find it though.

So does that mean your microwave is assuming it is popping Australian popcorn and re-heating British hot-pockets... or maybe even real German Toaster Strudels? Web Surfing 101: If all else fails, toss your cookies. |
