Has anyone heard of this?

http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie.aspx?m=2134112

I caught this little tidbit while looking at the Dark Knight info on MSN. Looks like Singer is doing another Superman movie. I can only imagine how bad that will be.

In another Superman note, Michael Rosenbaum (who voiced the Flash in Justice League and Unlimited) will be leaving Smallville. Clark will not have Lex Luthor as his arch nemesis next season. Instead, rumors that Doomsday will appear along with a new villianess. I'm surprised Smallville is going for season 8.

I'll be skipping "Man Of Steel". I have no desire to see anymore Superman films directed by Bryan Singer after the woeful, disastrous, abysmal "Superman Returns".

Doomsday being in "Smallville" is an incredibly stupid idea.

Hell, Lois, Jimmy, Brainiac, and Kara/Supergirl shouldn't be in Smallville either. How's Clark supposed to maintain and get away with his Clark Kent disguise when he becomes Superman with Lois et al having already seen him prior to his taking flight as the Man of Steel?

"Smallville" never made sense from the start thanks to the stupidity of Miles Millar, Al Gough and the writers. The sloppy writing and ridiculousness of it all caused me to tune out of the show halfway through season one (although I did see the two episodes Chris Reeve appeared in).

"Smallville" should have been shit-canned before season two.

I'm not going to try to change your opinion on Smallville (God knows that's a lost cause), but outside of being a new take on "Superman", the actors have done some great roles.

Michael Rosenbaum has done a wonderful job portraying Lex, especially with the chemistry he had with John Glover (who has already left the show). I'd like to see those two work together in a feature film.

Although, I am sure I'm not the only one tired of the Lana/Clark thing. Lana grated on my nerves.

But alas, I can't imagine the new Superman movie being anything spectacular. I just hope it's better than Superman: Returns.

I don't understand why you shit all over Smallville just because it's not what "you" like. It is a good show in it's own right and it is "based" on Superman as a teen. Superman Returns was good, not great but good. The next movie will be also. As for Bryan Singer, wasn't the first 2 XMen movies great and the 3rd sucked all kinds of crap?

My money says this new villainous is Maxima.

I'm kinda hoping the departure of Millar and Gogh will make the show better. I'm really surprised it lasted so long doing the kryptonite villain of the week thing. And then the continuity is completely screwed up with Lois, Jimmy, etc coming on.
And did anybody notice that Clark, Lois, Lana, and chloe have pretty much dropped out of college? None of them go to school anymore but none of them graduated.
And yeah, I'm sure nobody will recognize Superman flying around since Clark always wears a blue shirt with a red jacket. So Superman's outfit isn't going to ring any bells at all for Lex.

The It's a Wonderful Life thing was very lame last week. And then Clark instantly shows up on Krypton and saves the day in under five minutes. They never wrap these things up with any substance. It's always some quick fix after a build up.
I wish Clark had stayed in the world without clark and then become superman there.

Oh come on, Returns was not THAT bad. It just needed to have a real villian, that was all, and I'm sure they will rectify it. Personally, I'd rather they just completely rebooted the movies from the start, but keep Routh and Spacey while changing everyone else. Well, I guess they could keep the dude who played Jimmy, but everyone else needs to go.

I'll see it, and I hope Metallo is in it, and that it leads into bringing in Darkseid (who must be reprised by Michael Ironside).

Oh, and for the record X3 was still a damn good movie. It is just that they tried to fit too much into 90 minutes rather than making it 3 hours like it should have been.

The only reason MGS4 would appear on the X-Box 360 is if Kojima wanted to paint the sky red.

Rosenbaum and Glover were easily the best aspects of "Smallville". As crappy as I find the series, the two of them played their parts very well.

A lot of Superman fans hated the Lana/Clark thing too.

I found the third X-Men film better than the first two, although the film definitely should have been longer.

Kelsey Grammer was surprisingly excellent as Beast.

Frank Langella should stay as Perry White IMO. He has the capability to be a good Perry, he just needs a better director. Singer kept him way too restrained in "Returns".

Kate Bosworth definitely needs to go. She was an awful Lois, completely miscast. She had no chemistry with Routh either.

But yeah, keep Routh and Spacey but give 'em a better director to work with. Singer didn't get much out of them in "Returns" and as a result Routh was wooden and Spacey looked bored.

And give Routh a better costume and hair design. The unnecessary muscle padding, dark colours and generic hairstyle did him no favours in "Returns".

I enjoyed Spacey's portrayal of Lex Luthor, which is surprising because I'm not a big fan of his. No discredit to his work, he's a great actor, I'm just not a fan.

I agree that a better director should be used for any other Superman movies.

X3 was similar to Spider-Man 3 in which too much was crunched into the time frame. I wish Hollywood would learn that more isn't necessarily better.

nice, a second movie. Now Bryan can do what he does best, look at what he made errors with in the first one, and fix them for the second

and the first two xmen movies were 1000000 x better than the crap fest of Xmen 3 . The only thing good bout X3 was The Beast. Everything else, except seeing Hugh Jackman half naked was forgettable.

Oh yeah, because watching Cyclops (finally) get axed was forgettable. As was seeing Prof X be burned (even though he came back at the end), watching mutants getting torched by Phoenix, etc.
