Your apartment looks like a toy collector's museum. The only drawback I could see is having to dust all those things. Nice pictures!

Well, this is a very nice collection, with one MAJOR drawback. I can see it in the pictures, so do yourself a favor and get yourself down to the local hard wood store and buy good shelves, made of solid wood.

I'm seeing some serious bending/warping in some of the boards, and over time, it will only get worse. They'll most likely cut the pieces you need to the measurements you need, so no worries of needing a saw to cut them yourself. Any time I've bought wood they cut it at no extra charge.

The other option is more costly of course, and it being a collectors cabinet of sorts. In general, the carded items are the hardest to place in a cabinet, unless they sit evenly on a flat surface.

I only offer these opinions as I would hate to see some of your collection have issues down the line to to warping boards.

However, if there are no warping boards, but it just looks like it from the angle, I sorry. Smiler

Great collection(s) all the same!

Being that I am only in an apartment, I am not going to invest in some nice boards, cases, and getting everything lined up right until I own a house. However, I do plan on it in the future.

Actually, I would love to turn a part of a house into an action figure musuem. :-)

The only reason MGS4 would appear on the X-Box 360 is if Kojima wanted to paint the sky red.

I understand not wanting to spend the money on nice boards living in only an apartment, etc. Just please keep an eye on them. If by any chance you can take the measurement of how much it is bowing now, and then in like 6 months do it again. If no change, no worries. If there is a change, I'd look into reinforcing them with something, just to get by.

I'd hate to see/hear/read anything that happens to any of the collection due to one of the boards giving.

Beautiful collection.

K2's got a point, though. Was the warping caused by a previous use of the shelf(as for books or DVDs?)..I can't imagine the weight of what's on some of them causing that damage.

Just keep an eye on it! hehe Wouldn't want any of that awesome stuff to be damaged! =)

FYI: My collection would be about half of one of those photos! hehe

Which one are you referring to specifically? I ask because I bought some of the boards 2 years ago, and others a little over a year. The tan boards are not even a year old.

As I recall, it was one of the white boards. If nothing else, take a level and place it on the boards. Find out each spot, and mark it down on paper. Then, 6 months from now, do it again.

I'd have to look at your pics again to get specific on which one, and I'd at least circle and post to show since I can't say the North wall 2nd shelf from the right. lol

I'm still trying to cram for my final on Thursday so after that I'll take a peek when I've got more time and a ton less stress. Smiler
