Well we had out first trip to the ER. They were playing dodgeball in Genna's Tae Kown Do class at the YMCA. Genna leaped to avoid a ball at her feet, lost her balance and took a face dive into the floor. She ended up with seven stitches in her chin. Thankfully it was sort of under her chin, so the scar will not be too visible.

I am just glad that bood is a relatively easy stain to get out because she was bleeding all over her uniform top(which is white). Luckily she wears a top under it, so she didn't have to be sitting in ER looking like someone really beat her up. Although her shirt underneath was bad enough.

She cried when it first happened, but not a peep when we got the the ER. Well except for her chattering. She was truly a little angel in there.

We have to go back Wednesday to get the stitches out, but until then no swimming - because of the chlorine.

aw bummer...it'd be funny if she DID look like someone beat her up, and she could've been like "Yeah you should've seen the OTHER guy..."

It was a combination of shout, detergent, oxyclean and the soak cycle of the washing machine.

Yes, I do Shout and Oxyclean and let them sit for a few days before I wash them. I don't actually soak mine, but it does come out in the wash.

Now, to get rid of those nasty cat 'oops mommy!' mistakes that your kitties do (aka: throwing up furballs on your rugs), Shout and a good stiff brush does the trick quite nicely.

LP, glad your sweetheart's okay! Genna sounds like a pretty brave little gal. She'll make a fine Princess - tough as nails, but soft when she has to be.

I like that little bucket of OxyBlaster. It gets the stains out. That must've been pretty bad. It reminds me of the time I fell when I was in 6th grade doing an imitation of She-ra's drop kick. I fell right on the floor to, hitting my head pretty hard.

It goes to show the dangers of dodgeball! Such a barbaric game in which brings out the sadistic side in people! I mean, when I was a kid, I used to throw balls at the shorter girls just to hear them scream (one of those girls was Leah Remini) . I think that's one kid's sport that should be banned.

Anyways, glad to see that everything's okay, LP.

I loved dodgeball, mainly because I was good at it. Of course, it helped that I was skinny and agile. All the "jock" built kids thought they were so good because they could throw...but they couldn't dodge

Dude, if you're thinking it's about that, I'm old enough now to know how to NOT let that happen. And I succeed at it.

I was actually asking because my favorite pair of khakis that I wear to work have a nice big stain that I didn't notice for over a day (thanks so much to my coworkers for not saying anything -- buttmunches!!) on the back of my leg. I'd totally sliced the hell out of the back of my knee shaving -- something I'm pissed about because you'd think I'd know how to prevent that that crap from happening too by now!!! And anyway, the cute little band-aid I had put on the cut apparently didn't stay put. So now I better be able to fix the pants or throw them out. I'd much rather save them, obviously.
