I finally got my 4 wisdom teeth and 2 molars removed today. The anastesia...aneste....the knock out stuff is something else.

Right now, me entire bottom lip leading down to my chin is numb.

I got some oxycodone to take for the pain, but I haven't tried it yet as my mouth is still pretty numb.

Anyway, wish me luck through the next two days.

It's funny that when you're numb in the mouth or whether your mouth is hurting that they give you pills instead of a liquid drug. Then again, you could crush the tablets and mix with water but then you have to force yourself NOT to throw up from the horrible bitter taste of the medicine.
Hopefully, you've got the gell caps version but gell caps taste bad too if it comes back up.

OUch, sounds like a whole lot at once. Hope the oxycodone will help.

I've had funny numbness with the novocaine needles: one time, half my face went numb, from the lip to my eyelid. That was a fun drive home, lol.

The whole lip numb thing was really weird. When I touched my lip, it felt like a mushroom but at the same time it felt like it weighed 20 lbs. Thankfully, it wore off over night and my lip was back to normal.

I haven't had much pain in my mouth yet, but it's only Saturday. From what the doctor said, tomorrow is suppose to be when the swelling really peaks.

The worst part is, I severely miss food.

Wow KBL . . . I hope you feel better. It sounds rather difficult. Think of this way, Gerber will love you for a few weeks.

Oy vey... Hope you feel better soon, man. Not fun. I had my wisdom teeth taken out several years ago but had gotten twilight sleep and was popping Aleve like candy. What you're going through though reminds me more of my experience with getting endoscoping sinus surgery for nasal polyps removal and fixing a deviated septum. They doped the hell out of me and had given me anesthesia... said the only thing that'd hurt was when they put the IV in my hand. They were right, thank Gd...
