I had just read an article on AOL & found that Obama has 19 different contenders to be his running mate.
Among those were Hillary, John Edwards, Michael Bloomberg, Tim Kaine (governor of Virginia), & numerous state senators (Some whom are Republican).
I think he should either pick Hillary, Edwards, or the governor of Virginia. I also though Al Gore would've been good, but I wonder if he could run as VP, since he was already VP for Bill Clinton.

FYI - this is not a flame, merely my opinion.

If he picks Hillary, I think he'd be committing campaign suicide. She had to have him help to bail her out of the debt she created with her campaign. What kind of message does that send to the people of this country when a potential 'Vice President' can't even spend within her means for her campaign?

Sure - lots of politicans do it, but that doesn't mean that its right. I think Obama should steer clear of Hil.

Edwards - I'm not sure. His message isn't all that strong for a VP.

I agree that Al Gore is likely not interested in the second seat. If he were to go back to the oval office, it would be as President- not VP.

*just my opinion* but I think either way, McCain or Obama, we're screwed. McCain would be foolish to not pick Romney, as I think he's got what the economy needs. Then again, according to youtube, the entire presidential lineup are a bunch of reptilian shapeshifters *snickers*

How is that different from any other election? hehe

I think regardless of what happens, we'll be in better shape than we are now. However, we'll be dealing with the fallout from the Bush Administration for years to come, so the next President will have a very hard time, and will likely be a one-term President.

Also, don't look for any kind of economic turnaround until around April or May of 2009.

If we don't address the national debt with this next President, things are going to get a whole lot worse. Tough times ahead. It'll hurt us to fix the problem, but it'll hurt us more to ignore it.

I don't care, as long as it is NOT Hilary. If it is Hilary, he just lost my vote, and hundreds of other people. The last thing we want is that skanky ass hoe back in the White House.

Hillary is highly unlikely.

Gore is also highly unlikely. To address an earlier point, though, he is eligible.

He's going to pick somebody with a lot of experience to balance out his own inexperience as well as his youth. Likely it will be a governor. Another senator is unlikely.

I'm speaking with Obama's Northeast Campaign Coordinator tomorrow so I'll ask him. Although he's probably hoping for the job.

I know that he sits on the other side but having the Govenator as VP would be hilarious. LOL

Now that would be a sight to see. In fact, he has considered Republicans to be his running mate. I think it's best that he goes with the Governor of Virginia. From what I've seen of him, he's done a really good job with VA & his ideas downpat.
