It's frickin' February 28th (well, technically March 1st now, but...), and we just had a severe weather outbreak. Like, seven or maybe ten reports of tornadoes, one of them BIG (allegedly, it was THREE tornadoes that merged into one big wedge tornado... I dunno if I believe that part though, because just having two tornadoes at once is rare enough), and ugh... It's just been a mess. I-35 southbound at 87th street literally flooded over this evening, so it's obviously closed.

And tomorrow, we can expect snow. Yep. One to three inches of it. I frickin' hate Kansas City's weather.

Today, I have my kitties girls back home! They had their little surgeries on Monday - spayed and declawed. I hated to get them declawed, but they were tearing apart my house and my skin.

But they're adapting well. They're back to doing most things as they were . . . except they found out they can't climb up the screens on the windows.

Can you say . . .'THHWOOOWWKKK'! *kitty hits the floor after trying to leap onto the screens she has no front claws to grab onto with!*

If Keith and Allura get married, does Allura have to take Keith's last name or does Keith take Allura's last name?

And a second random thought, why do aliens only give the anal probes to rednecks? If they were so smart they'd kidnap the Dallas Cheerleaders or the Laker Girls.

1. I'm going to go with she doesn't take any last name. She may not have had a last name to begin with, and if so, she may take his in name only, but not for public appearances.

What if Elvis had lived and was still writing songs after going into the nursing home? Here's a song I think he would have written.

Have you seen the movie, Bubba Ho-Tep? If not, go see it, the story revolves around Elvis in a nursing home (as well as a black JFK and a wild mummy on the loose o.O;; )

I had two funerals to attend this weekend.

The woman who owns the pet store we've gone to for years . . . she recently passed away, I'm guessing from cancer by the conversations around me. She was two years younger than I am.

And then, one of our good friend's father passed away this past week, and we went to the funeral on Saturday. It was very moving for me.

On a good note, my parents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary! Wow . . . Married 50 years! Rich and I will be 79 on our 50th, if we make it that long! We're already counting up the meds we have to take each day for this and that!
