The Princess of L'amour. Friend to Voltron, Trivia and Viral Marketing Tshirt Princess.![]() |
AHHH MArathon is over. we watched Voltron for 12 hours. Whew now we're tired. Fleet of Doom was so good I think we woke our neighbors Cheering Voltron and laughing at King Zarkon when he tried to hook up with Hagar who was in disguise      . Great filck.

Fleet of Doom was indeed, pretty cool. I wish the animation could have been a bit better...and perhaps more VV interaction...instead of them just being a 'filler' ...but other than that.... it was great, I thought! Well...today is 'recovery day' for me. My body is just aching like crazy from all the running around I had to do. And of course, my hubby says to me... "What are you doing up so early??" ...early??? I slept in until 8am!! For me.... that's sleeping in...when I have to get up at 4:30am every morning!! But... between you and me, I'll duck in for a quick nap at mid-morning before going to see the mid afternoon showing of Kong. Right now, I'm listening to a cut from 'Narnia' and I just love this music! Some good fanfic writing material!!!

I wonder when Lionballs returns to the forms? :?

*puts on her formal publicist hat* To answer your question... which actually KBL already addressed on LV forum...he's off celebrating the holidays with his girlfriend and families. He said he would work on Lionballs post holiday celebrations...and while he was off from school until mid January (in between working, that is) ...but as his formal publicist...let me assure you he has not forgotten us. Rest assured, rich....Lionballs will return as soon as KBL has the time to post it back up. Take some deep breaths... in...out....in.....out.... There...feel better? Seriously... he said he would work on it. That's all I know... [quote:648bfdd662="SGB"][quote:648bfdd662="PrincessAlluraP"]Fleet of Doom's a good one. And it has some very nice 'K&A' moments in there. Hagar: As for you two...you are free to go. Let your love be your guide. Oh....I just LOVE that!!![/quote:648bfdd662] Fleet of Doom's a crap one. And Haggar's line is just cringeworthy and utterly embarassing. Just my opinion, of course. :P[/quote:648bfdd662] Awww...that's just 'cause you're NOT a K&A fan!! :P

Fleet of Doom really was pretty bad in my opinion.

Well, as I said, it could have used help. But overall I didn't think it too bad. Of course.... that's the opinon of a hopeless romantic! :P I wish K&A had kissed though.... it was a rather 'lame' ending to it. Okay...so it wasn't all that good after all!! :P

Hrm... I've never seen Fleet Of Doom before. I take it that its quality is just like the 2nd season, with craptacular information but somewhat interesting story lines and couple of nifty new characters (Cossack and Merla)?

Fleet of Doom's animation was not among the best, but it had some interesting backstory in it. To bill it as a big crossover with VV is a ripoff to the VV fans, however, since VV had maybe 20% of the airtime. I like it mostly for the backstory on Haggar in one part of it, and for a couple of scenes where Cossack has some good lines... other than that, I can take or leave it.

Oh gosh, this is embarrassing, but I'd probably have to watch it again to give a decent one since I haven't watched it fully in a while... I've only gone in for parts to get media captures. I apologize if I mix up the details, honestly aside from the Doom scenes I like, I really don't remember it that well, which shows the impression it left on me. :P Basically Zarkon and Viceroy Throk team up each with the intent of stabbing each other in the back to gain power. Zarkon sends Cossack to lead an attack on planet Acura, a Galaxy Alliance base, which they take pretty easily. News of this reaches Arus through Galaxy Garrison and the decision is made to confront them (details fuzzy here, correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway somewhere in this mix Haggar decides to blip into the Castle of Lions and casts a spell on Allura that steals her soul and takes it to a shadowy realm of dreams. Keith finds her and Ghost Daddy, I mean Alfor, contrives teleportation powers and blips him into the same domain to rescue her. Keith goes through some manly fight scene moves to get to Allura, confronts Haggar, while the captive Allura spirit is preaching to Haggar about being good. She starts getting to the old witch and Haggar confides that she was once good and beautiful but Zarkon told her "pretty lies" and corrupted her, which resulted in how she is now. Allura tries to convince her to be good again and reaches out for the goodness inside of her and in the end she gets through to Haggar while Keith is there. The good Haggar comes out and argues with the bad Haggar, and eventually good wins out and Haggar lets them go. Evil and defeated Haggar then steals good Haggar's beauty and puts on a disguise to go back and manipulate Zarkon with. She finds him and hits on him, and then just as he's about to go for it, turns back into herself to give him a memorable OMG WTF look. Oh and somewhere in here Lotor makes a big robeast-like Voltron out of insect-ish parts and takes on the two Voltrons and does an imitation of the "form Voltron" speech, and I guess somewhere along the way I missed VV coming in, but to be honest I fast forward through parts that don't have the Doomites in it because I'm not interested in them.

Planet Acorra (spelling?)...the sight of an Alliance power base, comes under attack by Cossack, under orders from Zarkon himself. The Alliance calls upon both Voltrons to battle together to protect the power domes. Both need to travel great distances to get there. The Castle of Lions becomes the 'flying fortress'. allowing for them to leave Arus and go to meet Hawkins and the Explorer and company on Acorra. Meantime, King Zarkon makes a pack with Viceroy Throk to join forces and do away with the power base....and defeat the Alliance. But as Cheezey said, once they've won...they intend on destroying each other to leave on remaining to reign in supreme power over the entire universe. Hagar offers her help, but Zarkon refuses... leaving Hagar bitter and out for revenge and a measure of 'proving herself' that she is not only a superior witch, but enough so Zarkon will fear her. And her first target.... Princess Allura. Coran sends Allura to rest, and Keith as well, much to his dislike. But he goes anyway. While they are asleep, Hagar probes Keith's mind and find memories of a childhood filled with fears of awesome creatures, created by Keith's rather vivid imaginations. Hagar decides that this is a weakness she can use against the fearless Voltron Commander. She then, moves in on Allura...and the mice are tipped off to it... now running to warn Hunk, Lance and Pidge, who quickly make their way to Allura's bed chambers. Upon arriving, they find Hagar is already there....and before they can charge, the old witch freezes them, then, proceeds to steal Allura's spirit from her body, leaving it lifeless....just as Keith arrives. He too, is frozen and a wave of panic hits him... as he sees that Hagar is stealing the Princess' spirit...and there's not a thing he can do to stop it. Hagar disappears with her prize. Everyone gathers around Allura's bed, with Keith being the first to arrive there... shaking her awake....but she doesn't come to. Her body's tone is a gray-blue color...signaling no life. King Alfor's ghost arrives and confirmed that Hagar has vast new powers, which no one could have stopped. Keith asks how to save her, and Alfor tells him its a periless task, filled with danger. He agrees to go... for the Princess...and Alfor carries him to the Dream Dimension, where Hagar is holding Allura's spirit hostage as proof of her new power. Meanwhile, Cossack attacks the flying fortress and Hunk, Lance and Pidge go out to fight and defend...only to get caught up in Cossack's power beams. Keith, meantime, trudges through the swamps, desperately looking for Allura... but instead, finds his childhood perils...the monsters he feared as a kid, now revisiting him. Hagar is using it in an effort to destroy him. Keith: These crazy creatures are all over the place! But, how can they be everywhere at once??? But Alfor comes to Keith... saying: "Because they are a part of you Keith. You're creating them out of your own imagination. They are your deepest fears, but you can overcome them...with courage." ...and that's exactly what Keith does...and once the are vanquished, he sees a path clear to the fortress where Allura is being held captive. He heads determinably there. Cut to Hunk, Lance and Pidge, who just before Cossack captures them, manage to escape their trap. And meanwhile, the VV teams await orders to fly out and attack. Back to Keith...now arriving to the fortress.... "Well, well, well! Captain Keith! I thought I'd lost you in the swamp!" Keith draws for his blaster guns (which interestingly enough, Alfor already told Keith that weapons are useless...and yet he's trying to use them). "Hand over the Princess...NOW!" "Oh," Hagar replies. "How touching...you've come for your sweetheart! Here is your Princess!" Hagar brings Allura and then, diplicates her in front of Keith, giving him a choice to make... find the real Princess... or take home an evil witch impersonator. He uses some kind of mental connection...and finds the correct Allura...but Hagar makes off with her again....but this time, Keith follows after them. Hagar is about to hack Keith to bits when Allura intervenes.... "Wait, Hagar please! There's still goodness inside you. You've saved it all these years....but if you hurt Keith now, you'll lose it forever." Hagar leaves.... and Allura goes after her, leaving Keith to watch. Hagar is struggling between her evil nature and her lingering goodness....and then, her true self comes out...and it literally destroys the evil fortress they were all in. The good Hagar grabs Keith's hand and then, Allura's, saying 'You are both free to go. Let your love be your guide." Allura offers them both to go back with her and Keith....but Hagar sends them both away...back to the real world. Lotor and Throk are talking about how powerless the power base is and they order a full scale assault upon it. Meanwhile, the VV team are trying to make ti through an asteroid belt...and its assumed by the static...that they didnt' make it. So, Hunk, Lance and Pidge are back out, ready to defend the power base by themselves. Allura's spirit returns to her body...and Keith rematerializes back in the real world. They clasp hands at the end as Keith sighs... saying that no one will believe what happened... and that he's so glad she's safe.... The return to active duty... and meet their friends out...just as the VV team makes out of the asteriod belt, and Jeff orders them into action and form Voltron to save LV, now struggling to hold its own against three robeasts. Jeff orders the forming of the Blazing Sword...and Keith follows his lead. Both work together to vanquish Lotor and his evil Robeast-Voltron-knockoff. In the end, Hagar decides that being good is not what she wants...but instead uses the beauty of her youth to become a new woman (Cheezey's avatar shows this picture of what Hagar appears like as she goes to Zarkon. And as Zarkon falls for her... she becomes the ugly creature he knows...and he gasps... stepping away as Hagar cackles aloud. In the end, Keith and Jeff renew old aquaintances with one another...and the day is saved...thanks to both Voltrons....Defenders of the Universe!! *cue ending music*
