i am trying to get my aggravating lexmark x4530 to scan properly.everything i try to scan dosen't even show up on my computer.and i'm getting really pissed if anyone here can help i would highly appreciate it. thank you very much.

I've had to deal with a few newer printers, and they have their own little programs on the printers itself. You have to literally tell the printer I want it to be seen on my computer, not here.

How exactly with your model, I have no clue. Google be your friend in this case, hopefully it's not too new and someone has reported about it.

K2 is correct. I have the same printer/scanner combo (well, I have the P4350, and I'm assuming you have the same one). You have to make sure that the 'Mode' button is on scan, and then you can select how your scanner scans on the printer menu. I recommend for you to set it up to scan to file. Then hit one of the start buttons (color or black) to start the scan. If you choose the scan to file option, you will not see anything right away on your printer. However, you should see a dialogue box pop open your PC. Choose a file name, save, and viola, it should scan.
