Greetings all,
I was wondering if anyone out there was a cosplayer or costumist? I'm thinking of doing up one of the male characters for next years Halloween ans was interested if anyone else has taken on this task.

Thanks so much!

Hey padsave17!

Just wanted to let you know that I moved this over to the Everything Else Forum since it wasn't Lion Voltron related. Wink

Does anyone have an answer for padsave17?

Unfortunately, I'm not a cosplayer or costumist.

Yes, I've been known to dress as Bill Cosby from time to time...

THEEEOOOO! RuuuuuDYYY!

=P

Actually, I don't do the Cosplay thing, but I know a few people who do. =) GenCon has a big costume contest every year, and there are always hundreds of people doing the Cosplay thing there, from Frodo to Naruto. =)

Dunno about Hunk, but I do know of a certain individual here who's dressed up before as Voltron, actually...

I myself am not into cosplay, but you just reminded me... I gotta get to work on my ears for my LARP costume. I'm creating a character who changes into a cat but has the ears full-time... will have to work on the tail later on, that's gonna be tricky, though I did get some ideas from a cosplay website the other day.

I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it.

The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly.

Well, I haven't worn my new costume yet... just finished the tail yesterday... but in case anyone's curious, here's an avatar I've made of what my LARP character's going to look like:

Big differences are of course that I don't look like a chibi black cat pooka in real life... Wink That and my ears and tail are jet black. For those not familiar with "The Changeling" game, the pooka are "the shapechanging tricksters. All pooka are tied to a specific type of animal, and in their fae miens will have aspects of that animal (whiskers, scales, feathers, ears, tails, etc.). They are able to shapechange into that animal, if unobserved. They are also great listeners, and can often persuade people in conversation to tell them some of their most protected secrets. They have a problem telling the truth though. The truth simply isn't interesting to a pooka, and they feel that they must always improve on it in some way." (That's straight from the intro to the game info that I have lying around here.) My character's an alley cat girl... we're still working on her background story a bit, but right now it's looking like she's going to have a really interesting subplot role that a lot of people aren't gonna see coming. It'd take a long time to explain here... Let's just say, though, that it should really shake things up. Yay, I got roped into some troublemaking! twisted (And yet, somehow, I'm one of the "good" characters...)

I'll post a photo of Miri (my character) once I get one taken. Might be some time in January.

Yes, it's a double post, and yes, I posted this pic in the Doom section, too. But it's so hideous, I've just got to post it here as well.

If this was the kind of thing being planned for the live-action He-Man movie, we'd have been in really, really big trouble. But more importantly, these people should be in big trouble with the law. Somehow.

(In case the pic fails to load, here's a link to it: very bad he-man cosplay
