Lord of Darkness![]() |
WARNING SPOILERS
OMG, this movie was just down right AMAZING!! It is not only the best Batman movie of them all, but they FINALLY got Joker down to a t. I loved how he kept talking about his origin to people with a different story each time, which makes it fit in so right with the DC universe since he has so many of them. Joker was brutal, violent, and meniacal just like in the comics, and the way he should have been from the beginning. No longer is he the pussy pinhead that laughs more than killing that the movies over the years have made him out to be. Heath was just pure brilliance and it is sad he cannot do another one. Two-Face was very well done for the little bit he was in. His face was perfect and I loved the development they gave Harvey throughout the movie. He will definitely be in the third as he was not dead at all. I must say, Rachel's demise was quite tragic, and I really would have prefered to have seen Katie Holmes get blown to bits rather than Maggie. As for Batman himself, Joker and Harvey really overshadowed him in this movie, which is one of my only two complaints, but I think that was the point. The secondly complaint is Gotham just did not seem like the dump it is supposed to be, but maybe that was because the cops were doing nothing in the first one. Oh yeah, and I loved how we got Scarecrow in it. That was great. Overall, this movie ruled and gets 5/5 stars from me. My favorite scene has to be, well, a lot of them, but the one that stands out the most to me is when Joker blows up the hospital and starts yelling at the detonator device. Best movie of 2008, and it is going to stay that way. The only reason MGS4 would appear on the X-Box 360 is if Kojima wanted to paint the sky red. |

Could you please explain to me HOW Two-Face survived that fall? Cause he looked like he was dead to me. (Plus the funeral and all) |

I had assumed he was dead as well, but then, they had a memorial for "Harvey Dent"...but that doesn't mean that "Two Face" died necessarily..so, we'll see. =)
Also, there's some buzz about Rachel potentially becoming Catwoman for the next film. The 'original' origin for Catwoman features an amnesia aspect..which she could have gotten. There was no 'for sure' that she was killed...and I think it could make for some interesting interplay between her, Batman, and Two-Face. As for The Dark Knight....Incredible film. My favorite scene was where the accountant tries to blackmail Lucius Fox with Batman's identity... and Lucius says something like "Let me get this straight...you think that one of the richest men in the world, with nearly unlimited resources, spends his nights beating hardened criminals with his bare hands...and your plan is to blackmail this person?"...hehe |

I did not see it as Two-Face dying, as Maroni got dropped from a higher distance and landed on hard concrete. As for the funeral scene, I'm not sure what you mean, as I did not see any funeral, but I'm figuring they were doing it becuase Harvey Dent was dead, not Two-Face. However, I think they left it unknown so that if Aaron did not want to come back, they would not have to bring Two-Face back in another movie using another actor, especially since they are going to have to with Joker.
The only reason MGS4 would appear on the X-Box 360 is if Kojima wanted to paint the sky red. |
