Hey, my YouTube connection started telling me that my javascript needs to be updated and now I can't play any of my YouTube videos.

Does anyone know where I can get javascript free download that isn't corrupt and is a safe site to do so?

What browser are you using?

YouTube are dropping support for some older browsers, so you may need to update your browser.

I personally use Mozilla Firefox as my browser. It might take a few minutes to come up but your browsing speed is exponentially faster. It also lets you know when you need to install updates for your plug-ins.

But if you look in your control panel you will see an icon that looks a little like a coffee cup that would be your Java script console. It will automatically ask yo if you would like to install any updates the software might have in order for you to update your existing software.

But what OS are you running on your PC?If XP I would not have a clue as to update it.If Vista follow the instructions I gave above and you'll be fine.As my brah would say good to go.

I hope that this will be of some semblance of some help AP.

Ash: Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

I know Mozilla Firefox is one of browsers that YouTube is dumping (when I launch my Mozilla, I get the message because YouTube is my HP on Mozilla), but I also have Internet Explorer 8, which is supposed to be the latest greatest microsoft has to offer. That's the one that's always worked on YouTube.

My OS is XP. I hate . . . absolutely LOATHE Vista. Razzer

I'll check when I get home and see if your instructions will help.

UPDATE:
Some of my YouTube saved favorites work and some don't. Ones that were posted before last year seem to have no problem being viewed. But as an example, I've been trying to watch 'Twister (1996) full movie' for a few nights and it keeps freezing up and not running at all. I don't even get the option to let it run. There's no bar at the bottom . . . nothing.

You are mistaken about Firefox; they are absolutely not dumping it (though they may be dumping older versions of Firefox).

You should try updating your Flash installation. Upgrade your IE and Firefox to the latest versions.

My browser of choice is Opera. (That's not really relevant, but I thought I'd throw that out there.)

Just to throw this out there. For those that don't know, Java(depicted with the coffee cup logo) is not the same as JavaScript .
