Pretty easy to stay safe since they banned letting off fireworks in my area. Yet, you can buy them...it makes zero sense.

Our fireworks display was 'okay' this year. Wasn't anything to write home to mom about. But it was okay.

fireworks are banned here as well. Stupidest law ever. I consider it an act of anti-patriotism. Therefore, we get the entire neighborhood together and have a huge blockparty, and light off a ton of them. The cop showed up about 9pm, told us someone called on us and he was just doing his job, but he agreed wholeheartedly with us and let us continue shooting them off

OMG it was the nicest weekend of the summer here in WI. We spent the time at my parent's house. Genna turned 7 on July 5th, and we had cake and ice cream. She has a small birthday party on Saturday with some friends.

We went to a parade. Pretty decent for a little hick town in the middle of nowhere. We didn't go to any fireworks, but the neighbors had some. (Fish Day fireworks are always better than the 4th in Port anyway.)

Man if I ever need a reminder why I didn't have more than one child, I just need to call my sister and borrow hers.
