Per animeondvd, the release date is 03/31/2009.

Seems hard to believe we finally have the street date for the last volume, but there it is. Unless they pick up Voltron 3D sometimes...

Now all we have to wait for is Dairugger...

Erm...

I've seen #6 and this one, what was the design for #7? I seem to have missed it. Frowner

#7's design is the one shown in the animeondvd article -- either the cover for #8 isn't ready yet or they've shown #7's cover by mistake.

Thanks for the heads-up, Aaron.

$5 says they delay it until mid-April.

The only reason MGS4 would appear on the X-Box 360 is if Kojima wanted to paint the sky red.

Ok, everyone knows I'm not much of a VV advocate (mainly because I really haven't watched the series) but even I have to question the decision to refer to the VV dvds as Voltron: Defender of the Universe volumes 6, 7, and 8. Seriously, why not pay the VV team the respect they deserve? This set should have been referred to as Vehicle Voltron volumes 1, 2, and 3.

Ok...my pro-VV rant is over. We now return to your regularly scheduled program already in progress.

Well, the Lion sets were never referred to as "Lion Voltron", simply "Voltron Collection #". I think MB wanted to maintain DVD title continuity for the VV DVDs.

Pity they couldn't extend such continuity courtesy to the packaging design.

But looking back, I do wish MB had titled the DVDs like Madman did for the Aussie DVDs ("Lion Force Voltron Collection 1", "Vehicle Force Voltron Collection 1", etc).

I agree. I am a VV advocate. But they did broadcast as VOLTRON Defender of the Universe. My guess is a continutity issue

Given the problems WEP has had in getting the DVD sets out on time, though, it's a legitimate jibe.

Yup...it's a bet I'd take, too. Though given how long these particular DVDs have been in development compared to the Lion Force discs, it's less likely to happen this time, but I still wouldn't put anything past them, necessarily.
