I'm sure they had to jump a lot of hoops to get the Golion negatives from TOEI, but the amount of "colour correction" they did was too excessive.

Look at Allura's hair in Ep 6 for example -- it's orange instead of yellow! Her hair is the normal blonde colour on the Golion DVD-Rs and 16mm masters.

I do remember the complaints. Apart from some audio issues I had no problems with the Transformers DVDs.
