How come the air dates say 85 for the 20 Voltron episodes, but the booklet description says they aired in 87?????

I finally made it to Walmart (in TX) for The Red Lion tin, but they had pulled all Voltron dvd's off the shelves. An associate said that they only had The Red Lion tin for about 3 days before they were told to pull all the dvd's. They were told to tell people to go to Walmart.com...which of course doesn't have The Red Lion collection. I'll have to act faster when Black comes out.

I asked someone who worked there about the other 3 tins and she said that they were sent back(wherever "back" is..) when the red tins arrived to make more room..

They still have plenty red left and another Wal-Mart about 15 min. away said they never got it or have anything about it on their computer...

...so I guess it just depends on which Wal-Mart you check.

So, wait...they're actually pulling ALL of the Voltron DVD sets off the store shelves, or is this simply the inevitable recall of the first three tins in favor of the stripped-down 2-disc versions?

The stripped down version doesn't contain the interviews and extras just has the eps. They have both versions of Blue, Yellow, and Green on Walmart.com, but no Red.

Oh, the extras-less, slipcase versions.

I thought they were still 3 discs?

Yeah, I figured it was probably about time they started putting those out; am rather surprised it hasn't happened sooner...but then again, based on the strong sales, maybe I'm not.
