I'll just turn the case over in my hands a couple times; if the disc is loose you'll definitely hear it. If I shake it, I'll be the unlucky one who actually makes the disc come loose. Plus if someone sees me shake it, I might end up on their shitlist (oh great, it's that geeky customer who's always returning stuff as defective).

Kinda hard to do this when ordering online though. razz

Which is why online ordering will NEVER replace buying it in hand in my opinion.

Got my set today. No problems with the disc holders.

Up until now, I forgot how over-the-top that cover is for this set. Just from looking at the back cover, it's clear they're trying to market this as a hardcore and edgey series, which I have mixed feelings about. Sure, compared to Voltron it is quite a but more edgey, but it's not violence as far as anime goes. (and the real problem is that Voltron was overtly santized)

But I digress, time to watch this...

That's good to hear. Amazon just shipped mine; we'll see what happens.

I completely agree. It's not an edgy show, it's an unsophisticated, old school combining 'super robot' anime that most people haven't even heard of unless they know Voltron... and even most Voltron fans choose not to recognize it (if they even remember it). The robot is the only image from the show that's semi-commonly recognizable, and it can only help market the series (if barely). Without that, and it's just a nameless anime that's almost 30 years old.

But... I suppose if it's even less popular than I estimate, then it probably doesn't matter at all.

Well, this a surprise. In Voltron, Hazar and Dorma are siblings, but their Dairugger counterparts aren't even related, and only met for the first time in episode 24. Eeker

It works fairly well from a strictly dramatic standpoint in the Japanese version (the Hazar/Dorma non-relationship), but I still think it gives a teaspoon of needed depth and grounding to the Voltron version, by better three-dimensionalizing one of the lead villains of the show with something resembling a family life back home.

Mine shipped to me just the other day through Amazon, though I'm probably going to have to wait until this weekend to starting watching the episodes, due to various work-commitment reasons.

I just got mine Wednesday at Best Buy,I totally <3 it! I'm currently watching episdoe 32. I can't wait to finish this set and wait for the final set to come out. I was shocked learn that Hazar and Dorma aren't related at all in DXV.(like Aaron was saying).

Yeah that is different. I had always assumed Hazar's and Dorma's Japanese counterparts were somewhat romantically involved for some reason.
