Prince Lotor in another life![]() |
Just wanted to ask if anyone knows if the Voltron DVDs will have the original toy commercials (from Panosh Place and Matchbox), as well as original air dates for each episode...

Original air dates...yes indeed, per TVShowsonDVD.com, to be located in the DVD-case inserts.
The toy commercials...not 100 percent sure, but stuff like these were alluded to on the original VoltronDVD.com site announcement, so I'd say the odds are better than average. What I want to know is, will the actual vintage commercial break "bumpers" be featured on the discs, à la the Robotech DVDs, which had one per episode? 'Twould capture more of that old-skool '80s "viewing experience," if nothing else. |

Did someone say "ads"? Yes, they're being considered!

Commercial act bumpers....nice. Very nice.
Major kudos to Media Blasters for doing this. But wait -- none of the original "font" for the establishing-shots? Fug. |

Boo, hiss!!! So what that no CC tracks were made? Make your own, Media Blasters! You've automatically lost points with me for not having CC on the DVD.
Now that is inetersting. I had no idea that some of the audio was revamped a year later. Should be interesting to see how things play out on this front.
I hope they used the Crillee font for the on-screen text as the Crillee font is the font they originally used in the 80s. |
