Most of you probably won't care about this, but Madman will be releasing a Voltron Complete Collection DVD set in Australia in June.

It'll be out on June 24 (which is a day after my birthday and also the same day Madman'll be releasing their first blu-ray title: the animated Transformers movie).

The Voltron complete collection will retail for $149.95AU (about $100US), and will most likely be of the unremastered version of Voltron since Madman haven't expressed much interest in the remastered version.

No cover art has surfaced yet but I'll be sure to post it when it does.

I saw that on the madman site.

I have most of the Madman version of Voltron being a Aussie myself, yes there is no special features what I gather when Voltron was shown in the US is that Voltron was cut up again, I cannot be sure as I never saw the Media Blasters version but in Madman it was the episodes I saw as a child just edited the once from Go Lion to Voltron. Eg: Episode one has the Robeast clawing at the slaves it is edited but not much.

The episodes go for just over 20 minutes without that annoying 'Voltron will be right back'. Ea gads that is annoying. That is really bad editing still keeping that in. Smiler

The episodes are clear you can watch them not a problem.

Oh just a tid bit if you want to order it wait till it is on another site as Madman do charge too much for dvds and postage is a killer at times. I can post links for anyone who is interested. Helps to know someone in the country. lol

I should come with a warning label but it wore off years ago. LOL!

Uh? Your post makes no sense. The episodes of Voltron between the DVDs are identical, it just that MB actually took the step to remaster them.

How much have they charged you in the past? If you're in Australia they should only be charging you their flat rate of $4 for shipping, no matter how many items you've ordered or how heavy the package is.

I've ordered from EZDVD in Austrailia and I don't pay outrageous shipping to the U.S.

Possible cover:

I suspect this cover is just a temporary version and not the final version.

I'm figuring the other side of the box will have LV's face.

Actually, for us old-timers, including those "bumpers" between acts was a thoughtful move on the part of Media Blasters, since that's how they originally aired. Also, the main reason they did this is because the episodes "flow" better, pacing-wise, with them included...and they really do.

The cover I posted last month is indeed the actual cover, which Madman have just put up on their online catalogue.

I admit, having every single Voltron episode -- LV and VV both -- included in one, massive, gigantic, could-beat-a-man-to-death boxed set is very, very appealing, à la the recent Sopranos mega-box (which I'm still waiting on to hit Blu-Ray).

Judging from the covers to Madman's other up-coming complete collection sets (He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, Beast Wars, etc), I suspect you may be correct.

KBL -- you're askin' for an ass forkin'! razz
