Hi, I have been cursed! I bought the Blue Voltron set and had problems so I sent it back to Amazon.com and got a new one. I got the Yellow and Green ones and had no problems.
Then I bought the Red one at Best Buy. It kept stopping and skipping so I took it back. The second Red set also had the same problem only on disc 3. I took it back but they were out so I got the new Black set.
It too didn't work, so I took it back tonight and now this set's disc 1 won't even load in my DVD players. I have two DVD players so I know its nothing wrong with it. I ran my DVD player cleaner through them to be sure. The disc 1 has ridges on the outer ridges. I tried to contact Media-Blasters through their website but their e-mail (info@media-blasters.com) won't work. What should I do now! I am tired of taking them back to Best Buy. If I do this will be the fifth one!!!
No I have a GE DVD player that's a few years old. Haven't had any problems and I got a Magnavox DVD player for my living room earlier this year and have had no problems.

It plays disc 2-3 fine.
I would try DVD players like
Sony Panasonic
These are NOT that expensive and are among the highest quality players. Even entry-level players from Sony or Panny are quite spectacular!

Actually, I would avoid Sony at all costs. Though a respected brand..somewhat, it is now known for its obnoxious security system which not only doesnt play backup dvds, it also has a vast list of dvds that denies them from playing. Sony is even replacing people's dvds with playable ones. I think the news is still fresh around the net and Yahoo news. This has been a known and criticized issue with Sony recently.
Your best bet would be either lesser known player brands or much older players of better brands. Sony isnt that great anymore. Pretty much ever since they began making their parts in China.

I had some playback problems with the following sets and (disk#): Green Lion Collection and I believe with DISK#1 Red Lion Collection (multible attempts -exchanged with another set 'still same problem' bought another set and problem involved title screen) bought another one and cleaned DVD player and believe me- this would not help previous case. This time it worked reasonably well. Black Lion Collection -only with of the Special Features and no significant video problems.
Seems like Media Blasters use unfriendly discs for their Voltron DVDs.
The only problem I've ever encountered is that the special features menu on the Yellow Lion set doesn't load on any of the DVD-ROM drives I have access to (though the special features materials can still be accessed by manually opening the .VOBs that contain them or by selecting them in the DVD player software's "title selection menu")
Some people reported that the special features menu doesn't load on some DVD players either, but I haven't experienced that problem.

The red lion collection only happened with the first disk and the second or third episode. I didn't have any problem with the first episode when I watched it.
Black Lion collection only with the 'GoLion' preview in the special features but didn't have any problems with the 'Vehicle Team' preview special feature. I am waiting for that now. The espisodes in the 'Black Lion Collection' didn't have any significant video even though there were minor pauses in some episodes.
I'm on my 2nd green lion from Amazon. I only had the chance to watch "Space Olympics" on disk #1. It kept skipping and stopping through the entire ep. It was annoying to see the shower scene all choppy. My second copy is better, but on 13:42 of the same ep it pauses. Does it on Power DVD, Media Player and Real Player. For some weird reason, the audio is echoey and video jittery and sluggish on WMP. Looks like I have to get another set.

I was playing disk 4 from Yellow Lion set on my computer yesterday. It had a hard time reading one episode and it made this loud weird noise. It had stop/start problems before but sometimes if I rewind it back, it'll play ok. I put disk 5 on the Green Medusa ep. Read problems were worser. I put another disk and it says "no disc in E drive." Other DVD's didn't work either!! Cd's only worked!! I can't believe it!! I can't play DVD's on here anymore!! Is my DVD rom broken???? Anyone having similar problems?? I turned my computer off and on and that didn't work.

Thanks. I never knew playing defective dvd's can cause it to break. I'm on my 4th set Green Lion and 2nd set Yellow lion. As much as I love watching the ep., it's disappointing there are so many that don't play right. If my next set encounters any problems, I'll be sure to remove it immediately.
