I just got an email from eBay for this new DVD: http://www.amazon.com/Voltron-Defender-Universe-Revelat...id=1185819653&sr=8-6
I haven't seen a post about this yet and wondered if anyone new anything about it. Looking at the cover, the art is definitely different from the cartoon. Additionally one of the "reviewers" stated that it could possibly be a non-animated comic on DVD. Any info would be appriciated. |

It's just of Issues #0-#5 of the comic with a little bit of animation in it, as well as spoken dialogue, sound fx and music.

That's not it. That's the demo reel that WEP had produced a few years back in an attempt to get a new cartoon series off the ground.
The "Revelations" DVD is of Vol 1 Issues 0-5 of the comic with some 'animation' in it, as well as spoken dialogue, music and sound effects. |

When you say " 'some' animation", what exactly does that mean? Are we essentially looking at frames of a comic book transferred onto DVD with people reading the dialogue - a "talking book" with pictures? That just sounds...weird.

You'll see panels from the comic with a small degree of animation in them.
And as I stated earlier, you'll also hear dialogue, music and sound fx. |
