| I've always wished that I knew more about Albegas. Being that it's the unoffical stepchild of the Voltron family. Having never fully been integrated. I just a few days ago found an Ebay posting where I seller had the openening of the show posted on his page. It's very clear to see how this series could've been incorporated into the Voltron family...and still should be. Any chance that the new show will do that? I think it's a foregone conclusion that should the show survive that Vehicle Voltron will get an episode or two. Would be nice if Gladiator Voltron finally got it's due. |

Well like is often said in comics and I'm sure is true of all artistic endeavors, "All it takes is the right story." Should someone come along with a serious take and present it then who knows? If it does well then maybe WEP or someone seeks to absorb the license for Albegas. Having Albegas, Gladiator Voltron wouldn't prevent them from developing new concepts either or at least it shouldn't. |

It's just that there's so little benefit in developing Albegas as opposed to something new. There's just no gain, only cost. If they develop an Albegas-derived Voltron, they'll have to pay TOEI. For this cost, they'll gain an advantage with... what, maybe 500 people (?) in the US who recognize Albegas and care. Even if it was 5000 people, it's probably not a very good investment. If Voltron Force is successful, and if they want to make a third Voltron (and I don't suspect they do), all they'll have to do is stand the new guy next to Lion Voltron and say "Look! It's Lion Voltron's new buddy!" Whether it's Albegas or not probably wouldn't affect its success whatsoever. So why pay for Albegas except to please the small hard-core following of 30-year-olds that isn't really part of your target demographic anyway? |

| I'm surprised some people still harp on about Albegas. It's an obscure, no-name, not very good show whose only claim to fame is that it was considered for inclusion into Voltron. By the time Lion Voltron turned out to be a hit, WEP dropped Albegas like a hot potato, never made use of the licence, and likely never bothered to renew it or anything. Beyond this and a couple of toys, it is little more than a footnote in Voltron lore.
Yeah, it's sort of an interesting "could've been" topic, but other than that, there's no reason to expect any sort of push for Albegas. |

| Thing is; I've seen Albegas.
The show is so not worthy of the hype that some gives it. |
