I LOL'ed when I realised that the Rugger Guard chef was singing the DXV theme in the opening scene of Ep 4.
So did I. I have to say though, I really liked that acoustic-ish version of the opening.

As I said, it was shipped in a box that had a Feb 16th date in it, so they probably do.

I just got mine at Best Buy and I just finished watching the first episdoe and now watching the second one. I agree with Viceroy about how much footage WEP could've use but chose not to. It would have made things alot smoother, and not had all the consistency issues. I like the idea of the two sides not knowing each other at the start of the series. I also like the commercial bumper artowrk, and the music is lot better in my opinion. It takes time getting used to the Japanese voices but I like them as well.I still think the end credit with the girl's hand groping that flower is the funniest thing I've seen. AirTeamGirl85

Got mine, and just watched the first episode. Nice to finally see the show as it was made. Already, I can tell the tone and feel of the show is going to be quite a bit different from Voltron. Like Golion it was good to see a first episode that take the time to set up the series, rather than jumping right into the middle of the action as in Voltron.
Though after watching the Dragonball Z Dragonbox set, the flaws of Media Blasters' "remastering" process stands out more. Maybe I've just been spoiled, but after watching a *PROPER* remastering, the flaws of this one stands out more. I keep wondering why some scenes look smooth, while other looks quite grainy.

Well, after watching the first six episodes, I can safety say that I like this presentation a lot better than Vehicle Voltron. I agree with everyone that says the storyline flows together a lot more smoothly, and makes more sense thus far. Interestingly, the two sides didn't even know each others' name until episode six! It's also nice to actually have different music than the Lion series(I really like the opening music.)
The ending with the girl's hand caressing a flower sure is one of the strangest choice of end credit sequence I've ever seen.

Amazon has finally shipped mine. Can't wait. I'm mostly looking forward to seeing them fleet battles later on, in their original context, without WEP's clumsy attempts to tie them into the Robeast A-plot of the week ('A Curious Comet' comes to mind). As well as things like the planet blowing up in Ep 3. I imagine all this stuff will make a LOT more sense than it did in Voltron. quote: Interestingly, the two sides didn't even know each others' name until episode six!
Yeah... that's about how I saw it. The face-to-face encounter in that episode just feels like something larger or more significant than what we are hearing. What were those frozen-face 'shock' reactions from the V-force during that exchange, anyway? Because they don't work at all in Voltron: Hawkins: "Who are you to mock peace; leave us alone!" Air team stares, aghast. Land team stares, aghast. Sea team stares, aghast.

My set also had the first disk completely broken out of the case and "floating" in the clamshell - the three plastic points were broken in the clamshell and also caused scratches... MediaBlaster packaging problem???

Sounds like I'm the only one without a broken package so far.
