I just watched the first eight eps of this on the net, and I must admit i'm bored out of my mind. Sorry VV fans but I don't think I will like this over LV. I hadn't seen VV since the 80's so I gave it a try but it just comes off so far as a bad Robotech/Gundam ripoff without the good storyline and pacing. I hope it gets better with future episodes. I can't help but wonder if WEP's translation is why I don't like it, as this seems to be a continuing episode series that is complex and the translation I know is not conveying that. DXV seems like it may be a lot better than VV, while Golion and LV are not that different. I think i'd like DXV better than VV, because the first eight eps are putting me to sleep.

I remember seeing Vehicle Voltron I think before seeing Lion Voltron. I wasn't too impressed with it. I remember seeing an episode of VV where the VV Force couldn't form Voltron completely... they were missing a leg...

Keep watching the show, the series starts getting better at Ep 16 IMO.

I can't watch Vehicle Voltron....

VV has a long set up time... as SGB said it gets more exciting around ep 16. That's when it also becomes more political in nature.

It cute that you guys say that...ever think about making an abridged episode that takes the main scenes from the boring eps? Sorta like a VV primer

When I was a kid I remember owning the VV matchbox toy. I don't think I've ever seen the cartoon though.

What everyone else has pretty much said, though for me, it starts kicking it hard around episode 10 or so. The political aspects set it apart from Lion Voltron, in my estimation.

And it's the better of the two series for it.
