A discussion in another thread got me thinking... many of us watched Voltron in our formative years, so is it possible we took with us the odd life lesson from our extensive viewing? Or perhaps we had some unpleasant life experience later on that could have been avoided by paying closer attention to the show! Who knows... so I thought I'd get started with some random thoughts about Voltron truisms.

*If something is unpleasant, you can edit it out later (when you tell others).

*It’s easy to convince children that people don’t die... ever. “Oh honey, Grandpa didn’t die, he went to live on planet Ebb”

*In case something happens to your house, keep a spare house directly beneath it.

Girls may say they like a guy with a good sense of humor... But they always seem to go for the good looking guy in uniform, or the tall, dark, handsome broody fixer-upper.

If you are sometimes good looking and occasionally act vulnerable, you can be a complete jerk# and someone out there will still think you are fantastic.

*if you lack the funds to adequately deal with a rodent problem... just name them and pretend they listen to your problems.

I learned that no matter how bad things get, I can always count on the ghosts of my ancestors to show up and bail me out.

I also learned that keeping your vehicle underground is a lot cooler than simply parking it in the garage or the drive way.

I learned that if I want to gain attention from the hero of the show, I can always break down and cry. Gets 'em every time.

Voltron taught me something about relationships through my getting to know certain characters on the show.

Especially, if it involves romantic relationships. It made me feel like going for a handsome guy with charm who chases, but then be a brave, hero at the same time.

being naive makes the bad boys like you apparently...and unless you have a true blue hero around it's just trouble.

If large alien creatures ever invaded our planet, there's one thing we can count on to save us from them & that is Voltron. (LOL)

technically, wouldn't voltron be a large alien creature to us?

Reminds you that no matter how old you are, your elders have not forgotten how to throw you over their knee and embarass the crap out of you.

And the most important lesson of all: Girls can do whatever boys can do...that includes piloting a lion, ruling a country and mashing an impossibly large bun into a tiny helmet!
