Prince Lotor in another life![]() |
Hi!
I just talked with Jeremy Corray at World Events, and I have some cool news to those of you who have bought the recently released "Vytor" movie DVD. World Events is NOW ready to release a very special "Vytor" DVD. This new DVD will contain THE original four episodes (listed below) that were broadcast in the US in January 1989. These episodes are exactly as you remember them from the January 1989 preview broadcast, featuring the voices of Peter Cullen, Neil Ross, Michael Bell, Liz Georges, Kath Soucie, Allison Argo, Pat Fraley and more. Each episode has the original opening theme and the original closing theme/end credits (which is very different from the "movie" disc). Each episode also has the original commercial bumpers! The episodes of "Vytor" are: The Starfire Legacy Aerion The Spirit Tree Wilderland Best of all, these original episodes have extra footage/scenes that were NOT shown on the "movie" disc! This special new "Vytor" DVD also has the original stereo sound (sourced from the original 1" master with Dolby A) Even better...these babies are FREE! No kidding! All you have to do is e-mail Jeremy at jeremy@koplar.com and provide him your snail mail address. Jodi Baby Stewie says: "Buy Voltron DVDs and CDs you impertinent fool!" |

Absolutely! Jeremy and I first talked about this about three weeks ago. At first, he didn't realize that the original broadcast masters existed. When I asked him if WEP had the original broadcast masters, he said (something to the effect of)..."you know what...we do." I then asked him if there was any possibility that WEP could re-do the "Vytor" DVD (where I could have the original broadcast episodes intact), and he said "...yes (emphatically), I can do that...we have the resources and the technology to do it." Jeremy and I continued the conversation, and since he realized that the first "Vytor" DVD was made more like a "telefilm" than the actual broadcast episodes that we all get nostalgic about (think "He-Man" and "ThunderCats" and "Voltron"), he himself made the decision that WEP will not only re-do "Vytor", but will provide the "Vytor" re-do DVD at NO cost to those who have already purchased the "telefilm" version of the "Vytor" DVD (remember that the "telefilm" disc came with an animation cel at an additional cost). Jeremy and I were also talking "Denver, the Last Dinosaur" DVDs. Watch for my post shortly on the first "Denver" DVDs that are coming soon. Jodi P.S. My "Vytor" re-do DVD is on it's way now. I should get it Saturday or Monday at the latest. I will even post a review and comparison of the "re-do" DVD with the telefilm DVD. Jeremy and I will have some more talk about "Vytor", but if you already have the "telefilm" DVD of "Vytor", the re-done "Vytor" DVd is yours FREE! Just e-mail Jeremy...he's also great with writing e-mails back to me, and I'm sure he'll gladly respond to everyone else. Baby Stewie says: "Buy Voltron DVDs and CDs you impertinent fool!" |
