I'm thinking about getting the Toynami Masterpiece Voltron in the next few months, but I was wondering if he is still available? Also, is he worth the price? I remember reviews were saying when he first came out that the paint would easily chip and his joints kept falling apart. Were those issues ever fixed?

i picke dup mine on ebay from toynk. i paid $110 shipped for it.
i'm sure you could get it for less if you're patient but i certainly wouldn't pay $150 for it.

Are there any official reviews on a website I could look at that would also have lots of pics?

I checked out the shipping and handling from the website you attatched above, and even though the $98.00 seems nice. The actual cost after shipping is $152.00

You can enter your zip code to see how much it is to your area, but I think I will pass on that. As far as reviews, everything is going to have it's flaws, and imperfections. If you are a big enough Voltron fan, you get it anyway. I for one haven't gotten mine yet, for personal reasons, but will definatly own one. I will opt to buy mine new from someone off eBay I am sure, that has amazing feedback, a great return policy, and a fair price! Good luck finding yours. GO COLTRON---

You know, I wanted to get him for a while, but after reading the reviews on him, looking at the pics from Remy, AND seeing that every friggin site is altering the figure and still charging $100 for it, I've decided to put my money towards something more meaningful, like rent and school loans.

As for MP Voltron, like I said, I do want him, but again, I just haven't had any money for him. I wish someone would release new figures of the characters though, I'd so love updated figures on Lotor, a Merla figure, etc. Hell, I wish they'd look they way they did in the DDP comic series.

One thing I do love about MP Voltron though is that Green and Red lions actually have real tails AND it looks like they have necks. On the down side, their heads still look too big for their bodies.

good news:
the MP megs only has a yellow plug thats inserted into the tip. you can just pull it off, its not glued on.

better news:
some vendors haven't even bothered inserting them, actually i think most vendors were like, "yes, of course i'll abide by US laws, i follow the rules" then didn't bother with them.

so far the guys i know that got theres said their boxes were still sealed and no yellow plug was in there.

i ordered from LAFtoys.com(lost and found toys). it came to $106 shipped and i live in NYC.

i'm not sure if he put the yellow plug in?, its on the postal truck right now and i'm eagerly awaiting its delivery.

some people that ordered from HLJ said theres didn't have the plug, some said theres did. i think they randomly inserted them into some of them but not all.

if you order from a HK/japan vendor, they probably won't have the plug.

just a quick review....
i just finished transforming it to gun mode, boy is this sucker big! it might look somewhat to scale if Andre the Giant were holding it but me, hells no. put it this way, if i was running around the streets with this cannon in hand, the cops would shoot first and ask questions later.

there not gimmicks other than the LED scope. no two faces like the SS, no moving jaw like prime, just the additonal weapons/accessories. its kind of lame they couldn't incorporate some cool little feature into it, oh well.

so far i TF'ed back and forth once and i've inflicted numerous scratches all over it and its not from manhandling it. the transformation is so complex and flismy, the parts end up scratching against each other no matter how careful you are. its safe to say i won't be TF'ing this again for a long long time but i'm still happy with my purchase.
