These are the ones released by Trendmasters in the late 1990's that had glossy metallic paint and had Stealth (rather than classic Lion) on the card art.

Is the metallic paint on your action figures peeling? Hunk and Lance are the worst for me. The paint seems to have dried up and is shredding from the action figure. Is this a common problem with these particular action figures? I've never stored them in any extreme temperatures that I know of, and was wondering if I just got a bad batch or somebody microwaved them while I wasn't around or what.

I recall that Trendmasters had some quality control issues back in the day. Does anyone else have this problem with their V3D Stealth action figures?

i never had those particular figures but I do recall having some sort of toys that had metallic paint that did slowly flake away, if that helps.

I've noticed it too. I have all 5 pilots and their "Lion Cycles", all of which have the metallic paint & all of which are now peeling. To be honest, they are 10 years old now and at that point I wasn't as careful with action figures as I am today.

My Stealth figures are peeling. My Lance was peeling shortly after I bought the thing (brand new when it was released). So far though, Allura, Keith and Pidge are holding up. My giant Stealth Voltron is starting to peel too.

Really? Mine are just fine, actually. They aren't peeling or damaged at all.
