Looks like the sticker sheet for the Castle...but I've never seen a Castle of Lions like the one you posted.

All the castles I've ever seen have blue turrets, instead of red. Example:

Sorry about the one being in the shade, but you get the idea.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken...the Castle you pictured is white, not greyish like the others.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? Reason I ask is either the area you are in has a different Castle of Lions setup, or where you got your image is. It's cool and all, and I'd personally like to have the red turret one just for the it being different from the others. Smiler

A cardboard Castle of Lions?

I'm not too sure which company makes it but Warren (the company that makes cardboard jigsaw puzzles) put out pieces in the 1980's based on popular subjects like The Transformers, GI Joe, and Voltron. I had the GI Joe Space Shuttle (lost forever) and the Transformers Autobot Base (still intact). They are supposed to be in scale with the toys (the shuttle could fit the GI Joe figures while the Transformers could fit in the base). Warren also put out cardboard figures of the lion and vehicle Voltrons too (but they're stiff and can't move).

Based on the pictures, I'd say the cardboard Castle of Lions is based on the Panosh Place toy. That's a nice find. There's a lot of licensed products that many people don't know about and they usually pop in in the oddest places. I found my Transformers Autobot base in a Korean specialty shop (which sells mostly clothing).

Obviously, it would be worth much more if its not assembled.

I'm not too sure how much that's worth because it's not something you see everyday. As people usually say, "It's worth as much as people are willing to pay for it!" These are good for action figure display like the old Palitoy cardboard Death Star playset.

If you do sell it, try to scan it or photograph it straight on without a flash (but in a well lit place). You then can print out as many copies as you desire. That way you can still have the Castle of Lions without having to open the original and put it together. That's what I did with my cardboard 20" Mazinger Z figure.

I saw one of these on eBay quite a while ago, but it didn't have the photo you have showing it assembled (i.e., proving that it actually was the Castle of Lions), so I didn't bid on it. I'd be interested in buying it off of you - I seem to have the biggest collection of Voltron esoterica of anyone on the board (unless we have some new people who'd like to try for the title!), and I'm always looking to add to the collection.
