Japanese robot toys rule.

Now I have to admit, I wasnt very focused on the new shows that aired a while back (3d voltron) and missed out on a whole lot of plots and reinvention of the lions.
I had came across some toys that claimed to be Voltron but looked nothing like Voltron other than its face details. It was all black and made completely out of plastic.
Dont mean to sound mean over a toy, but it looked pretty lame and I felt it lacked a whole lot of ingenuity that was present in the original set.

At the time, the set was selling for 35 dollars on sale, but was 50.00 prior to the sale tag.

I recently saw it on ebay for 125.00 dollars. Thats ridiculous to me.

But is it actually worth that much? I mean its soooo distant from Go Lion now. Its not even made in Japan, made entirely of black plastic with very few paint apps and the show didnt do well at all, company got bankrupt and everything.
People are buying this set for soo much on ebay.

Why? Confused

Sounds like "stealth" voltron. Please correct me if I am wrong. I did not watch too much of the V3D either.

Sorry, but Voltron 3D wasn't seen as a good thing by fans of Voltron, and Hamster Voltron...aka Stealth Voltron was even less popular.

As far as people buying them for 125 bucks, the old saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" comes to mind. It's plastic, it broke easy. Why anyone would pay that much for it is insane.

haha, and dont get me wrong, like i said, this thing is just not voltron and it was mind boggling why anybody would spend so much on ebay for it. Or sell it for so much.

I handled this thing before and its really clunky.

Oh, but I never bought the toy and would certainly never pay that much freaking money for one now.
