Hey all, to those whom have it, or a clear memory of when you did...I want to ask a question:

The red chest plate/plane, when it comes off, does it go back on like the bigger version? Do you have to glue the sucker back?

Reason I ask is someone is wanting to sell me theirs, but while it is sealed, the red chest plate/plane has fallen off. You can see it sitting by his feet. Box is in excellent shape, celophane is intact, etc.

I figure 25 bucks for it due to the red chest plate/plane issue. Also advise on whether that is a good price to pay, or am I low balling it?

Thanks amigos!

We're talking about the 6" one, correct? That one has little tabs so that it attaches on the chest. It is, however, easy to pull off and that's why finding one on Ebay with the red plane is rare.

Worst case scenario is that there could be a chance your red plane might have broken tabs so it can't stay on but I think with plastic pieces (like from model kits) and a little resourcefulness, you can make it stick on without glue.

Yup, the 6" one. The plane is in plain view at the bottom by the feet.

The seller is a grand daughter of a lady whom had a toy store in the 80's, and when the bigger stores came in, she couldn't compete, and closed shop. Taking all the toys with her, never opened.

This is her claim. The box looks awesome, celophane is intact, etc. Is it possible to have the red plane detach with the box never being opened?

I've offered a certain price, but I'm also getting other items as well. My total amount would come to $200.00. That is for a MIB Black Robot for Voltron II, a Blue Robot, and the miniature Voltron I. All supposed to be never been opened before.

Thanks for the advise on repairing it. Question is, if it is truly never opened and the plane just popped off...would it be worth it to open the package and put it back on, or leave as is? lol

There was no shrink wrap on the toy box, only scotch tape on the top and bottom. You could carefully remove the tape if you don't think you can ruin the box. Whether the plane fell off or not doesn't really matter because there are mint in box tox that have weapons/accessories fall off of it's place (usually happens during shipment when things get shaken) and they're still worth a lot. The main thing is that the red plane is whole without any damage. In the picture below, you can see what holds the plane together with the body.
