When I first saw in the news on VOLTRON.com about the all plastic version of the masterpiece VOLTRON, it said that the product was going in stores in AUGUST. It is September and the product has yet to get into any stores in the Coulumbus, Indiana area. I have looked in every department store in Columbus. What is taking it so long?

WEP got the August date wrong. The plastic Masterpiece Voltron always had a September release date from the outset.


Anyway, as Lady Magdalena said, the plastic MP Voltron has started shipping. So it most likely should be in stores this week.

Also keep in mind that it might not be in normal department stores. The only place that has confirmed they are getting it in my area is a comic shop that deals in collectibles as well.

I just hope mine doesn't get returned to sender - I'm here in New York until 9/30 - but i did put all of my mail on hold at the post office

I received mine today! I'm glad to have it. I had started a topic about some trouble I was having removing the arms after he was assembled as Voltron, but apparently it is more durable than I expected and I was able to removed the arms just fine a few minutes ago, so I deleted that post (since no one had replied to it).

I think I'd still like to get a regular Masterpiece version of this some time.

There is a possibility of it going to department stores. As it is, there is a comic book store in Columbus, Indiana and they deal in collectables.

I ordered it from BBTS yesterday for $50. I hope it is better quality than the Masterpiece one, since the plastic pieces are so fragile, and this is the one I am going to display while the MP one remains in its package.

Mine arrived safe and sound. Looks good - I have no intention of putting it together - only to display as is

Wow, mine just arrived about 15 minutes ago and he kicks ass. I finally do not feel like I am going to break him every time I touch him as I do with the die-cast one, so this one is definitely being displayed out of the box. Good thing too, as I was just going to ebay him right away had he felt as fragile as the other one. He is one of the best Voltrons ever made, but I think my top favorite is still the binoculars I have since he is just one piece and has awesome leg poseability (ankles, knees, and hips move). Nevertheless, I am definitely going to love this one forever as well.
