What is this version of Voltron and worth?

I have had this since I was a kid ... it is only about 7 1/2 inches tall, does not bend to well or pose and the chest opens up to reviel a man inside as a smaller figure that can be taken out and is posable.

Any help?

That figure was made by Trendmaster for the Voltron: The Third Diminsion line.

Here's a picture of what the package looks like. I've no idea why yours have the red and green lions reversed; that's the first I've seen looking like that.

As far as non-transforming Voltrons goes, I prefer the 6" ST version from Popy/Matchbox. Poseability isn't much better, but at least the colors and proportions are superior to that trendmaster figure.

I just tried to get the arms to come or pop off with no luck ... does that mean mine is a factory mistake? And if so how rare is that with these toys?

Don't bother trying to pull off the arms... you'll end up breaking the toy. Mine is missing a piece of the shoulder, and I can see how the arm is connected. Trust me, a factory error is the only explaination. Only thing I could think of would be to unscrew and disassemble the figure, if you want to risk that.

I've no idea how common this error was.

That's the Galaxy Guard Voltron figure from the 3D series' toy line. It's not transformable, which is why the arms (and the legs) don't come off.

So now under the assumption it IS a factory error .. how do I go about selling this bad boy on ebay? That is what my plan was when I came upon this forum .. was doing some research for my up coming Voltron auction.

As has been established, it's NOT a factory error. All copies of the Galaxy Guard figure can't be disassembled.

Whoa .... if it CAN NOT be disassembled and it IS incorrect, how does that NOT make it a factory defect? Wow this confused me.

Buh? Where did we establish that the arms are *not* factory errors? The arm joints on this figure are such that they cannot be popped off and reattached(you WILL break it if you try this). The only way to remove them is to unscrew the back and disassemble the figure. If he or someone else did not do such a thing, then this copy of the figure was assembled wrong at the factory.

D'oh, I just noticed the part about the Red and Green Lions being on the wrong sides. That most likely is a factory defect.

I thought PoppaDLo was saying the factory error was the figure not being transformable. Whoops. Red Face

That's Galaxy Guard Voltron alright!
My very first Voltron item was a packing error of that - missing Keith and with the green lion painted blue and vice versa. It's not bootleg though, it's got licences and everything. They had 3 normal ones in the store and this one and all the others were sold when I got this one.
It's a pretty neat figure, with solind sculpting.

Voltron is needed once more!
