What original Matchbox ones? Do you mean Panosh Place? I don't think these are those.

I'm pretty sure those are Gatchaman figures that have been re-fashioned into the Voltron Force.

Those are positively not the awful Panosh Place figures. Not even close. These look pretty nice, but they're still not how I'd prefer new figures to be done. They're too much in a fixed pose with plain outdated swivel joints that are pretty much useless without any real posing options. With articulation limited such as this, they might as well be pvc fixed statue figures. If they're going to do new pilot figures, for best examples to follow, they should look to either GI Joe/Marvel Universe/Microman figures for 3 3/4" scale, or to DC Universe Classics for 6" scale. Otherwise, if those are customs from Gatchaman figures, they are very nicely done, so kudos to whoever did them.

Good eye there SeanRM! They are indeed customs I made from Gatchaman figures.I was just having some fun with you guys! And Thanks REX-203 for the nice comments! I agree with you that having super poseable Voltron figures would be nice but I'm really diggin how these came out. They are perfect for what I want them for and that is displaying so no ugly hip or knee joints here. I made them to enter into a custom figure event and I'm not supposed to post pics anywhere till after the event next month but I just couldn't resist showing them to you guys, true Voltron/Golion fans. I would like to share more pics with you guys after the Custom Con but for now to be on the safe side I'm going to remove the pic so I'm not disqualified from the Con.

Haha, nice prank Skull Duggery! lol About my comment, you're welcome. As I said, they look great. If SeanRM wouldn't have said it, I would have never guessed that they were modified versions of existing figures. They look like quality original sculpts. If they were produced like this, I certainly wouldn't pass up a chance to own a set in lieu of waiting for highly articulated figures to come out. Good luck with the contest! Oh, and welcome to the boards!
