Thought this would be fun!

My favorite Doomite is Prince Lotor. I really like his character and the many facets of who he is.

He's a warrior - and his counterpart, Sincline is a very bad boy! I liked when he first appeared on the scene. Admittedly, Keith was too caught up in the fact that he had beaten Lotor in the duel to notice that Lotor had picked up the rock . . . THWUNK!

Sorry Keith, but we all learn from our mistakes! Razzer

My favorite Drule (from VV) is Hazar and Dorma (Okay, so there's two) but Hazar has one focus continuously - his people. I admire his perspective, and Dorma is quite intelligent and resourceful, and quite loyal to her brother and people.

So, who's next? Who is your favorite Doomite/Drule and why?

Head over heels in love with Keith! ^_^

I'll admit it, I cheer for the bad guy at times. I've always been a fan of Lotor's. I just rarely show it. Sven occupies more of my time. But I've often wondered if Lotor would ever win and cheered for him on occassion. He's cool too.

On the VV side, it's been Hazar, I've always like him and thought of him as handsome, why I don't know. I just liked him and the way he did things.

I am definitely a Doomite fan! I love them all but my very favorite has always been Lotor. When the show was first on I was in 6th grade and had a HUGE crush. There was something about the long, white hair, the eyes, the pointy ears that appealed to me. And I was always excited if it was an episode where we saw him...gasp...shirtless! I also liked that he *wasn't* the good guy. He had this desire for Allura, but he wasn't the sweet Prince Charming...he was the bad boy. I still love Lotor after all these years.

BUT, I've also liked the other Doomites as well (I didn't watch VV so I can't speak about those characters). Zarkon was like Daddy Dearest, quick with the insults and the smackdowns but not someone to be trifled with. Haggar was great fun with her quips. I liked the season 2 additions too. I think Cossack was a good counterpart for Lotor. Despite his few ditzy moments, he must have had a lot going for him since he never ended up on the wrong side of the sword! And who can forget Merla...though some of the others might have liked to!

Being a Libra, I never have just one answer for these questions. My two favorites are two of Doom's commanders, Cossack and Yurak. Cossack I like because of his fun sense of humor and ability to not take everything so seriously. You just know he'd be fun to hang around. Yurak I like because he's got cool armor, big fuzzy ears, and has this hardcore outlook on everything to the point where he's so wrapped up in his pride and ego that he'd rather get sliced in half than be fired. I also enjoy watching both of them interact with Haggar as she works as a great foil for both personality types.

Of the Drules, Captain Twyla is my favorite even though she only appeared once. She's a tough girl who takes no crap. Gotta love that, even if her voice is enough to make you wince.

Ahhh yes . . . Captain Twyla. She is quite a nut to crack. I have a healthy respect for her, most sincerely. Wink

Was she the one with white hair and a voice that sounded like a sour guitar string being plucked?

Lotor always was my favorite character, hands down.

My favorite Doomite is Prince Lotor, especially in season one. He is a well rounded character and had several good scenes and lines. I also liked the addition of Queen Merla in season two. Merla was not the typical weak and helpless woman. She knew how to take charge. I liked the fact that she was attractive and could mess with people's minds. I wish Merla's and Lotor's relationship could have been explored more.

Sven's Girl - Twyla's hair was kind of a bluish white. There's a link to a picture of her:

And yeah, her voice was pretty rough on the ears. It was just as grating as Ginger's chirpy voice.

Princess Of Planet Doom

Even though in real life, I'm a good guy & on Voltron having luv for the flyboys & both Princesses, I found Doomies more interesting, intriguing, & appealing.

The first Doomie that caught my eye was of course Prince Lotor. HIs long fluffy white hair, sparkling felinoid eyes, & pretty face was too hard to resist. He has always been my biggest crush when it came to Voltron. Even though his character was more of the angsty & psycho, I somehow managed to find a humourous & fascinating side to him upon my interpretation of him in the show. Some of his qualities are ones to greatly be admired. The dude reminds me of the pimpin type. If I were on the show, aside from the character I created as being his sister, I'd be the chick who'd be wrapped around his arm. He's not only my favorite character on Planet Doom, but the whole Voltron shows & of all cartoons.

The second was Queen Merla, because her style, class, way of carrying herself, & gifted abilities. Her phenomenal sense, running her own life without having to answer to anybody, & the fact she's a woman who don't take shit makes her a lot like me as a person. I'm the type who would dye their hair pink & wear blue lipstick too. Inside the series, Queen Merla would be the best friend for me to kick it with on the show.

The third is the one & only Cossack. Unlike Yurak & Mogor, he had more character. He bought humor & laughter to Planet Doom, which is something which was badly needed there. I also liked the fact that he & Lotor were really tight.

And I'm finally happy to know that we will also be talking about Drules on here too.

I also found Hazar to be hot right next to Lotor. I like his muscular build, wavy white hair, & rough look on his face. I would have luved to see an episode where he & Lotor would be in it together.

Dorma was also cool.

Zarkon's Conscience

My favorite Doomite is Zarkon (I know, big shock, I've been so subtle about it). I actually was quite fond of Lottie-boy when I came back into Voltron, but then I started getting into the dysfunctional father-son relationship and started liking Z more. He has this "been-there-done-that-so-why-do-you-suck-so-bad-at-it" attitude, is pretty tricky, is still good enough at fighting to pwn Lotor with one swing, and still inspires fear despite wearing a dress and cape. His sarcasm is fun, and he has no backstory, which made it fun to make up my own in fanfic, since he was nearly fanless when I joined the fandom 7 years ago: it's a fun challenge to like a character few do. I also get a big kick out of Cossack: that sense of humor, and with Hagar as a foil, some awesome lines to be heard.

Throk is a fun character because he's such a schmuck and never deviates from his schmuckery in all but one fleeting moment towards the end of the show where he try to persuades Zeppo to leave the planet. Zeppo declines and Throk goes back to his old self: 'Kay, Bye!

Dorma's cool, too, with her activist ideals and initiative. She certainly flip flops less than Hazar :P

Arguing over the Internet is like the Special Olympics: if you win you're still retarded.

My favorite Doomite is Cossack. He's funny and has an attitude.

If I had to choose a least favorite, it'd be Hazar. Hazar = major Drule emo.

I have to go with Cossack and Haggar.

You can tell they don't take themselves, or anyone else, too seriously, but still kick ass.

Evil badd assness with a side dish of snark, a recipie for greatness

I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it.

The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly.

Oh, gee, uh.... MERLA, QUEEN OF DARKNESS.

I've got a fondness for all the Doom posse, but Merla... She's hott. She takes crap from no one. She calls her own shots. And that metal bra...

She's all I aim to be, and all that I want in a woman twisted

As for the Drules... I really have to get back into VV and watch some more eps before I can say for sure... but this Twyla chick... she's cute Wink And from what I do remember, Throk was pretty amusing... But again, gotta get back into VV more before I can say for sure who's my real favorite.
