What zodiac signs do you think Lotor was born under?
My guess would be he has a Scorpio sun sign because he is surrounded by death, passionately obsessed with Allura, hungry for revenge, and sexually magnetic to countless Voltron fans. He could have an Aries ascendant/rising sign because he appears to be constantly at battle with others. |

Oh, another astrology buff!
I see the same influences you do, but in reverse. Personally, I'd always pegged Lotor as an Aries due to his impulsiveness, hot-headedness, and general childish "it's all about me!" attitude. (Now I'm in no way saying all Aries are like that, but those are negative traits common to that sign.) Also, Aries being a cardinal sign, a sign of action, is in keeping with his ambition and impatience for having the throne and everything else he wants. I do agree that there could be a Scorpio influence also, perhaps as a moon or ascendant. He's very driven by lust and that single-minded obsessiveness is more fitting with a sign like Scorpio than a fire sign. Lotor's emotions run deep and dark. Any thoughts on the other Doom crew? Cossack seems very Sagittarius to me, Merla a Libra, and Zarkon a Leo. (And not just because he's the king, but because of his regal bearing, his more subdued arrogance, and his ability to be charming and flair for drama when he wants it, but with class.) Haggar could either be a Scorpio or Taurus, I'm mixed on her. Perhaps she has influences of both. |

This question is kinda irrelevant and utterly unanswerable.
Doom/Galra is not Earth and so all the constellations and zodiac signs that we are familiar with won't apply to Doom/Galra. If they even have a system similar to astrology they would have their own set of signs with their own meanings and what not. If you really wanted to get serious about it you could go to the NASA website and look for a planet that fits Doom/Galra's general description (terrestrial, little sunlight, heavy cloud-cover, etr), call it "Doom/Galra" and get the positioning the stars from that planets perspective. Connect the dots and make constellations with them, give them names and meanings and then pick one for Lotor/Sincline. That acutally sounds kinda fun... ... .. . DAMN IT! I'm gonna be doing that all night now! :gonk: |

Follow up post:
55 Cancri seems to fit the bill. Its a binary solar system (2 stars/suns) but they're both dwarf stars (a yellow dwarf and a red dwarf) and have a lower luminosity than Earth's sun so all the planets in the system are relatively dark. The innermost planet is the terrestrial one (that means its made of rock instead of gas) so I'm gonna say that that one is our Doom/Galra for this. The issue I'm having now is finding images of what the stars would look like from its perspective. I might have to just make guesstimates about it and I really don't want to do that (I hate the math, its one of the reasons why I'm not an astronomer). |

You know Renkon, you are right. But I think the question was made in regard of trying to explain every personality of each Voltron character. So we could understand them a little better. I guess... (I didn't make the question though) I just thought it was funny...
