Back to the subject of Cossack and him going good reminds me of an idea Coldwin and I talked about once, where Cossack sincerely tries to be good (maybe after crashing on Arus and being saved by the VF since they're such good samaritans and all) and genuinely wants help them, only to have them constantly suspecting him of faking it and lying to them and being all suspicious of everything he does, to the point that he finally goes "you know what, screw you," and goes back to Doom anyway deciding that being good isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Cossack should just build his own army, take over one planet and rule it as King. To hell with Zarkon and Doom and to hell with Allura and Arus.

Long live the king!

Cossack: It's good to be the king.

lol Ebon_drake drew that picture, based on my fanfic where Cossack dressed up in the cheesy outfit based on a Doom romance novel hero to impress his girlfriend and then got called in for duty... and forgot to change his shirt.

What elements of Cossack's character could be improved upon to make him more of a central character and what (if any) could be eliminated?

Hmmm... I dunno. I personally like his personality just as it is and don't think I'd change much if anything. To make him more central... I'm really gonna have to think some on that one. The only thing that I can think of is give him more authority of some sort. Make him a real threat to Lotor, perhaps with just some good eps where he gets to pwn the bishie and gain more respect from Zarkon? Have Merla recruit him as one of her top henchmen where he'd get more authori-tay? Have the Drules take a real liking to him for something really badass impressive, so that everyone back on Doom starts to either get really bitchy with him or kiss his ass?? These are very, very random ideas that I just came up with off the top of my head, I'm not saying they're good... Wink

He was emperor of Oron, but then the Voltron force invaded and over threw the government

I have no problems with your Mary-Sue if cannon supports it.

The cannon supports about 180 pounds if fired correctly.

I have a hard time thinking about what I'd change about Cossack too, since I like him so much... even his "blond moments" that border on cringeworthy. I would change the show's dialogue that portrays him as wimpy, because I don't see him as cowardly (I don't consider tactical retreats as cowardly, I consider it self-preservation) but that's about it.
