Throughout the Voltron series we noticed that Lotor's outfit was different in Season 2 than Season 1.

Season One: He wore the light blue pants & white gloves.

Season Two: He wore the darker blue tights with black gloves.

I liked his Season Two outfit better. It bought out his physical features & athletic build more.

Aside from colouring mistakes his season two clothing is the same clothing he wore in season one.

Yeah, but I noticed his darker blue pants being tighter around the legs, plus his black gloves.

It's definitely the same one except for the coloring differences. I pretty much referred to the coloring.

I liked his Season 2 coloring better.

The season 2 colouring of Lotor's clothing sucked. It was very inconsistent.

This is a tough call. The black accents are more suited to his personality, but he was so badly drawn (gaunt, vampire-looking, scrawny, etc.) in so many season two scenes that it's rare that a "good" shot of Lotor comes from it. The black gloves with the detailing and highlights given to him in some episodes of the first season would look pretty cool in theory.

That said, some might argue that Lotor's best look was while he was in the chamber in the clone episode.

Lotor was a hottie all the way thru both Seasons 1 & 2. There were episodes hear & there when he would look like a vampire. I think one was the Green Medusa & other Sincere Form Of Flattery.

Oh yeah, I liked him in both the Clone episode & the part of Treasures Of Planet Tyrus whee he was shirtless. Wished there were more episodes of Lotor where he's more revealing.

I'm only going with season one because the animation during that season was superior.

As for season two... bringing up this topic made me giggle because I automatically thought of that scene when Merla and Allura were talking and Allura commented that Lotor thought he was so hot "because he has such big muscles". Then, Merla commented that it was foam padding...

LOL!!! That was funny when Allura & Merla were both taking jabs about Lotor. Wish that could've went further.

Allura: He just thinks he's so hot, because he has such big muscles.

Merla: There not really that big. Let me tell u a secret. Underneath his uniform, he wears full length shoulder pads.

Allura: (Gasps) Underneath? Merla, how do u know what's underneath there?

Another thing I noticed in both seasons was a slight change in his behavior.

Season One: He was at his most evil. More angst & involvement with conquering Arus. For some reason, he was more into destruction.

Season Two: With the exception of Episodes; Dinner & Show, The one where the mice were captured, & Return Of Sven, he seemed less involved. It's like here, he lost some of the wickedness that he once possessed. He seemed more interested in taking his father's throne & having Princess Allura.

I didn't see him taking charge of his Father's conquests & if he did get involved, it was to check on Cossack & Haggar. Them stinkin missiles in Episode 68 "Why Be Friends Or Enemies, didn't do crap.

They really messed up Lotor's personality in Season Two.

Wasn't there a writer change or something between the 2 seasons?

What I don't understand is, if they used GoLion as a basis for season one Lotor, why wasn't that continued in season 2? It's not like they didn't have a basis for his personality.
