Here we go again with another one of my Romantic Compatibility surveys again.

I just got thru show bits & pieces of
Episode #66: "To Soothe The Savage Robeast"
to a friend, cuz I found it hilarious that Lotor married Queen Merla only for it to not only last for a day.

The hilarious part was when at the end when they were both on the bridge acting they were heading for Divorce Court.

It's a wonder if Merla should just stay with Lotor, so she could straighten his butt out or if somebody else would be best for her.

I voted Zarkon like in Cheez's fics

Hmm, I like most of the options here, though for different reasons.

Lotor/Merla: My favorite canon pairing. I like their interactions and their dynamic is grossly underappreciated in the fandom. I really don't understand why this pairing doesn't appear more often in fanfiction. I voted for this pairing.

Merla/Allura: Okay, this pairing is not on the poll, but it should be! I love the way their personalities bounce off each other. This is my Voltron yuri OTP.

Merla/Zarkon: This would have an interesting impact on the plot of the show. Also, like Coldwin, Cheezey's fanfics got me interested in this pairing.

Merla/Lance: It's okay. If Merla was to hook up with a male member of the VF, I guess this would be it. She and Lance have the most in common personality-wise.

Merla/Keith: I'll be honest and say this is one out of two Voltron pairings that I absolutely cannot stand. Why? I don't think they'd have any chemistry together, among other things. However, this is just my personal opinion on the subject.

I voted for her to stay single, though I love her with Allura. It'd be great for a strong character like her to stay single with all the romance floating around.

I voted Lance. I think she's got that certain characteristic that Lance likes in women.

Not too mention he would really like the Madonna-bra

I voted for Lotor but Cheezey's fanfic intrigued me too. Plus Merla flirted a lot with Zarkon on the show.

It would be interesting, if they'd stayed married, the dynamics between Zarkon, Merla, and Lotor. Would Zarkon and Lotor keep competing for Merla's attention?

Dunno, cuz it's hard to tell whether Lotor really wanted to be with Merla or only was with her, cuz of it being Zarkon's idea for Lotor to marry her.

Lotor I think was too distracted by Princess Allura to really want anybody else. Otherwise, he would've married Princess Corral.

Good point, Iris. I think Lotor's main focus of obsession has always been Allura. He married Merla, I believe, because that's what Zarkon told him to do, so that it would unite his kingdom with hers.

Merla went along with it, because originally her plan was to take Zarkon's throne.

Man, if Merla actually succeeded at taking Zarkon's throne, then I wonder what would become of poor Lotor?

Was Merla really interested in Keith?

I voted for her to remain single.She does better if she remains on the open market.
The whole Lotor/Merla schtic was a Bomb of epic porportions.
Merla/Zarkon would be an epic fail because the both of them are controll freaks and it would instantly end with a crash and burn deal.
Merla/Keith well they say oppisites attract that is a misnomer at best.
Merla/Lance great for fanfic but not for cannon.
So to save her own sanity she should remain single.

Mmmmm, I don't think so. Canonly speaking, she only used that as an excuse to get her poison honey nectar into the Castle for him and the rest of the team to drink. I think if she really had a crush on him, she'd probably have other things in mind for mullet boy rather than poisoning him.
